(no subject)
Okay just wanted to update real quick because the last time I updated had to be more than a week ago. D: And I doubt that I will be updating regularly this week too, as I have too many projects and the Renaissance rally and what not to focus on. AH! NOT how I want to spend my last few weeks of school. :(
Let's start with... SHOPPING! :D Went on a total spree the Saturday before last, which was the 9th I believe. I wanted shorts, and sure got some, along with some other tops. Brought Kathleen along for fun.
Actually bought this the day of the AP US History test (Friday, May 8th), when I went to the mall after with Jackie, Lauren, Caitlin, and Michelle Trieu. It's this cute loose top that I tuck into stuff, and was only $8.80! Not bad. Downside: Have to handwash it. D: It's really soft and made out of some new fiber or what not.
Now here's what I actually bought on that Saturday (on my dad's credit card, thank god >.O):
This one is called the Loryn Denim Short, and is really cute and weathered and frayed in some places. It was $22.80, which is not bad.
This one is also, if you can't tell, frayed and weathered, but doesn't have cuffs. XD It's the SUZY denim short (ooh la la), and also $22.80. I wore this with the gray loose shirt above tucked in, but what sucks is the first day I wore it, I was painting the photo backdrop for Summer Breakout and wasn't looking where I was sitting and got yellow tempera paint all over the back. -_- Got most of it out by now, but took two washes and much scrubbing.
YAY! I seem to really like the frayed shorts that Forever has! Actually all their shorts are really cute this year, so I definitely recommend checking them out. Especially since these were only $15.80! :O They're called the Florelle Frayed Denim Short. My question is: Who has ever named their kid Florelle? Cute shorts though. Probably wearing them tomorrow for twin day.
This is a pretty cute tank top, perfect for summer. Also an incentive to work out my pecs, shoulders, back, etc :P Haaaaah. The price: only $6.50! NICE (in my opnion). I also like the color. Woot woot. Not sure I understand the name though: the Fab Banded Slub Top. Is slub even a word? O_O Not really sure.
Kathleen REALLY wanted me to get this shirt! However, it was $19.80, so really had to think about it. :P Yeah I could imagine it looking cute with gray shorts or even jean shorts, and it could go both casual and formal, but wasn't sure if it was my style. When I got home, I tried it on... no go. Cute... from behind. The ruffles made my front look kind of weird. Flat maybe? And I felt like you need a really toned stomach, or a flat one, to carry it out well. The side view especially felt kind of awkward, and the armsleeves. Eh. If you can't tell, wasn't in love with it, so returned it today. XD Got store credit, yayyy!
The next two I couldn't really find pictures of so I'm going to describe them. This one top was kiiind of like this top:
Except it was white and was a softer, matte material (rayon), and only had like the top two rows of ruffles. Still basically a spaghetti strap though. Was $11.80. Not bad, except that it was dry clean only. Ouch. What's worse was, I was going to wear it Saturday to Summer Breakout, and had it kind of loose and tucked into shorts, and I didn't notice that as I was bending towards the mirror to apply makeup, my open foundation bottle was rubbing against it. -_- So got some foundation stains that, no matter how many different chemicals or scrubbing I applied to it, did not come out and only faded a little. So we took it to dry cleaning today and hopefully they can take it out. :X Dang it! Didn't even really get to wear it.
My last top/tunic was REALLY cute and I'm glad Kathleen persuaded me to buy it. It's this soft material and could be a really short dress. It's spaghetti strap and goes in at the boob. The boob part is white, and this band and the rest of the top is flamingo pink-ish. Really cute! And only $9.50. :O
So all of this was actually typed Monday (except the last paragraph), but my mouse had stopped working so I couldn't post. D: Had more to say but too tired from Diva Dance off right now.
