Ho Hum

So I scanned most of the mags I meant to today. Took a lot out of me, have three more to go. But I already have the various folders/zip files uploaded (divided by mags & bands, 9 total) that I did so far, it finished right now. Just gotta put them with links, previews, etc. I'll do that tomorrow. >.<

Today was a biggg V6 item day. My second part of the package FINALLY arrived, with Jeana's b-day present (Making of Pikanchi Double VHS), a V6 Bingo CD/cards that came with the Superheroes CD (dunno if she had that one but I didn't get it), the tote bag from Musicmind, a memory book with various V6 pictures in it (cute!), a Gakkou! book (lots of text... I didn't really get it to look at it but just because like I said before, I kind of collect V6 items), and some V6 pins. WOO!

Then I bought some V6 CDs from the Book Off in Gardena. Book Off is LOVE! They had new CDs (3 versions of Voyager, which I wanted but more than I wanted to spend right now. :'(, oh and like three versions of their newest Very Best collection, various others), and used, cheap ones (to be honest its just their cases that are like scratched and stuff; the discs are like new and so are the booklets). I got: V6's Very Best (2001) for $3, their Musicmind CD & DVD (which I watched/listened to while scanning XD) for $10, A Jack in the Box CD for $3 (flip books = <3), and "Happy" for $3. Good, no?! There was so much more I wanted too, but mom wasn't willing to buy more. :P I should have gotten the "1995 to Forever" CD for $7, which really WAS like new, instead of the Very Best one but no. >.< I think I'm going to try and sell the Very best CD, because I had bought it before at the Costa Mesa Book Off for like $5 or $7, but a smaller case, but it was definitely worth more. This one had the exact same discs and just three booklets with lyrics, while the first one I bought had all the lyrics in one booklet + additional pics. D: I can do it!

Drove so much today. Well my parents dragged me everywhere and used Book Off as compensation. :P Stopped by the library (didn't have either book I need XO) where I saw Larry, Brian, and Randy doing research for their senior projects. Then Pasadena where my mom stopped by some coin/dollar convention, but didn't stay long because the line was too long (wanted to get some old $5 bill checked for value). Then Rosemead, first to some tax place (for my parents) and the library across the street for me. So different from my library, and still didn't have "In Cold Blood" or "The Great Gatsby". I ended up checking out "Breakfast at Tiffany's and three short stories" by Capote just because I was curious. Finished it today too; DEFINITELY a good short novel! Did not turn out at all like I expected, but wow. :O Since the tax guy apparently was busy with someone else at the time, we walked down the street to some Chinese seafood restaurant where I had fried noodles with seafood (SOOO GOOD) and pumpkin cake for the first time (also very good :D). We walked back and they finally got their tax stuff done, then off we went. To Chinatown! My mom said she was picking up pants but she really was checking the value of her mom's ring. XD She has no sentimental value I swear, but luckily it wasn't worth enough for her to sell it. She tried to get me to check if they had V6 CDs in some international music place instead of going to Gardena, but I've been there before and KNEW they only had cheap ripoffs of really obscure artists in Asia; no way Johnnys would let his CDs go somewhere like this. Finally we drove to Gardena/Book Off, where I was made happy. I spent like 10 minutes looking for Arashi though (their organization is somewhat questionable), and when I finally found it. And I figured out why I had missed it before even though I had looked at that section so many times beforehand; the Arashi CD section was EMPTIED, so the tab was behind some other tab. -____- Nice. What a contrast to V6's plentiful collection (not that I'm complaining; actually very happy about that :D). Oh yeah and V6 had a brand new Best of 20th Century CD for like $20 which made me think of back2real, because Tonisen does, but I decided to go with the other CDs. After this it was just one more stop; back to Rosemead to look at our relative's new baby and drop off a gift and chat. The other daughter made me read to her XD (she's like 6). My day ended with Taco Bell nearby, mmmm. Dinner. :D YAY!

Such a long entry. >.< But such a long day. Tomorrow should be fun!
