The stairwell smells like man. It’s weird.
I guess I’ll update now since I’m over my pissy-stage for the time being. Here are the highlights of my exciting life. I had originally intended on posting this yesterday, but I had to stay up on the roof for a freakin’ hour and a half in the smoldering hot sun. BOO FOR THIS.
*Working at the Warped Tour was fun. We got to by-pass the crowd of angsty teenagers and watch them setup the whole thing. We sold $1 CDs and got to hang out with a new band named Kaddisfly that Hopeless Records is going to sign. I guess the most annoying part was kids asking, “is there anything for free?” Like $1 CDs aren’t cheap enough. It sucked not being able to go watch any bands...we should have been able to, but the stupid girl running the SubCity booth decided that she would take advantage of us and take off leaving us to watch the booth. Bitch. So I missed My Chemical Romance. AGAIN.
*I had a fun and exciting birthday weekend. We had a lot of food and a lot of cake-cheesecake, carrot cake, and ice cream cake. Sar made the best video ever of our cousin Seth getting hit in the chest by a ball...it was hilarious! If I can ever figure things out with all the links on LJ and stuff, I’ll put it up. I think I got about $200 plus my grandparents spend about $100 on clothes for me and my parents probably bought me about $200 worth of stuff. I sort of feel bad about it because I’m old!
*I’m going to start “the diet” again. I don’t think I look bad, I just feel bad. I feel all gross and I want to have muscles again (even if they are pretty dinky). I’m going to start kicking my ass to the gym every day again. It’s just been difficult since the accident because my neck and back are in a constant state of “fuck you.”
*My life seems to consist of watching boxed sets of DVDs. Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Futurama, Chappelle’s Show, The X-Files (at Cara’s), and freakin’ PUNKY BREWSTER. I cannot get that damn theme song out of my head. I think of it before I go to sleep. I think of it when I wake up. I’m thinking of it right now. “EVERY TIME I TURN AROUND...”
*I am now the proud owner of a washer and dryer. This may seem retarded to some people, but it is GREAT. I hated lugging my clothes around to wash them.
*Car shopping is tedious! I can’t decide what I want to buy or rather, what my parents will approve that I buy. It’s my car, but they’ll be co-signing and footing the bill for my what I know will be sky-high insurance, so their opinion does have some weight on my decision.
*I had a cute party joint party with Channing (from Barnes & Noble) last night since her birthday was on yesterday. It was originally intended just to be her party, but mine was cancelled because the band that was supposed to play for it couldn’t play that day and the barn where we were going to have it as was not available because they fired the drummer who owned the barn! (That was totally confusing). Anyway, so I had a blast! I was really happy to see so many people there, especially people I don’t get to hang out with that often! I think we had 27 people. It was nice to hang out and have really good food and celebrate. I did feel bad though that I didn’t get to sit with all of my guests! Maybe I’ll have a smaller party soon. I like parties!
