School is over with for today and long weekend here I come. :D What's Monday? MLK Jr. Day right? Whoot!
So did you guys hear about what happened in Haiti? I've always found natural disasters to be so sad. In their honor and because my Abby-face <3 said she was going to send a percentage of the proceeds from her wares to a Help Haiti fund, I have bitten the bullet and purchased more head gear. So that means more pictures of my head lmao! Well as soon as I get it. Hey guys, if you can jump on it! http://www.etsy.com/shop/Photographizer I'm tellng you she has super nice stuff and its awesome what shes doing for her fellow man through her company. So many people who have more dont even bother to do things like that.  Oh lord, now I sound like a humanitarian or something, sheesh. lol

Anyway, moving along. Today I discovered that im apparently self motivated to do most of the things I do in life. I never thought that. Would have never thought that either but thats what a test said. It just might not be as strong as others' self motivation thingie.
I have always thought of myself more of a reactionist, you know I just wait till things happen, not go about making things happen. I take it though that if that were the case I wouldnt be participating in college at the moment. If you dont want something to happen, believe me it aint going to happen. So I wanted to share what I learned today with you all, in hopes that maybe it helps you all with self actualization or rather on aiding yourself to develop a stronger Internal Locus of Control.

1. Become a positive thinker. You might be asking as to how one might go about this but there are three things do to better your ways of thinking.
-Remind yourself of all the things that you  do well.
-Believe in yourself.
-Think & talk in positive statements (which I think might be the hardest to do next to believing in oneself. At least maybe for me lol)

2. Accept responsibility for yourself. There are a few steps that help with this one as well.
-Realize that only you can make youself do something.
-Congratulate yourself when you do well. (I've noticed too many times I have taken the modest route, or rather overly modest and downplaying feats that had I been anyone else I might have thought amazing)
-Accept the consequences and don't blame others.

3. Accept the idea that you have success because you put forth the effort.

and last but not least,

4. Put the "I" back into your vocabulary. (Apparently "you" is a copout and you know what? I see it and wholeheartedly agree)

Well those are just four of the small ways  in which to either slowly make your external locus of control into an internal one or make your internal one even stronger. I just felt like sharing that because I think we can all use a little more positive in our lives. <3 All righty, I shall return possibly this weekend or something lol but for now...it looks like its NAP TIME! :D
