I haven't done them in a while, so here they all are together!

3x Thursday1. What are the top 3 things in your life that are most important to you? My family, God, and caring for people. If I were missing any of them, my life would be incomplete.
2. Do you take steps to facilitate the importance of those things? How so/how not so? Of course I do.
3. Would you ever think about changing the way you do things (priorities) so that you can pay more attention to the things that matter the most? I've always changed priorities to make sure those three are taken care of.

thefridayfive1. What’s the most embarrassing thing/job you’ve had to do to earn money? I think the worst thing I did was work for a janitorial company. I've earned a lot more respect for the people that do that. It's not the easiest job.
2. What’s the easiest and quickest way you have earned a buck? Playing poker. I've doubled up in 30 seconds on-line.
3. If you could set your own salary, according to your skills and worth, how much would you earn? More than I am now, of course. I'd say double what I make would be appropriate for anyone doing our job. We don't make nearly what Vegas pays, but we do make the most in the state.
4. Are you a good saver? I am, but I get the urge to buy something every couple of months.
5. What’s the most expensive and useless thing you have ever bought? The most expensive thing I've bought in a while was the iPod, but I would hardly call it "useless". I can't think of something I've bought that I would consider useless.

2. Cookie: Dave Bob's cookies -- a version of haystacks
3. Donut: Cream-filled

5. Hot beverage: Hot chocolate

Saturday81. when was your last plane ride, and where did you go? Hawai'i! Although, technically, my last plane ride was from O'Hare to St. Louis
2. it took me nearly a week to get over my jet lag (i was working like a dog and couldn't catch up on my sleep). do you get jet-lagged when you travel? I don't usually, but Hawai'i screwed up my sleep schedule for a week or two.
3. i took my first red-eye flight. it was brutal! have you taken a red-eye flight before? Of course! I love red-eyes, actually.
4. since i live in a vast area with many suburbs (central florida), we do not have public transportation. we do have buses, but they only run from 6am to 9pm and have fairly limited stops. i don't even have bus service where i work! how is the public transportation in your city? It's okay. We have buses, but it would take about 2 hours to get from my house to work on it. There is also the MetroLink light-rail, which is good to get to major places in the city, but it doesn't come near the house.
5. before my trip, i had never, ever taken public transportation before, aside from two taxis rides (and i'm 33 years old ... i can't belive that). i rode the BART from concord, CA to the mission district in san francisco and back - all by myself! i did need help purchasing my first ticket, though, but made it safely back to my hotel. i was very proud of myself, but i'm still a novice. rate your expertise at public transportation. Not too well. I make it okay on the Metrolink, and I can look at maps and know when to get off, but I don't have too much experience in it.
6. i had to pick up a connecting flight in vegas. i arrived at night and took off after an hour's layover. the strip was BEAUTIFUL, and i hope one day to go back and see some shows (i don't gamble). have you been to vegas before? Once. I loved it. We're going back in October for a few days.
7. my trip to california was due to work. i've travelled to NJ from FL for work before, but never all the way to the west coast! what's the furthest you've had to travel for work? Not far at all. I've driven about 30 minutes.
8. i like following celeb news. hey - i work a lot online, and it's part of my boredom-breaker! for some reason, i was thrilled to see angelina jolie's new daughter with brad pitt in people magazine. some people hate her because they think she's an opportunistic man-stealer; other people adore her for her humanitarian work. i felt a happy sense of calm when i saw that new baby. what are your thoughts on the pics? do you even really care? why or why not? I don't care. Celebs are camera-hungry people and find ways to get the attention on them.
1. How many cop shows can you name? Several, but I won't do it here.
2. Do you send text messages? Occasionally, I do, especially when it's easier than talking to someone to tell them one small thing.
3. If you could be on a gameshow (current or old), which one would you be on and why? Jeopardy! or Wheel of Fortune. I love both of them, but I don't think I'm smart enough for Jeopardy!.
4. What are some of your favorite websites? Other than Gmail and LJ, I frequently visit:
ButtonMen,
Simply Explained,
The Smoking Gun, and
Albino Blacksheep.
5. What are your favorite things about the internet? I love that you can find information on anything instantly. I also love that I can keep in contact with family and friends.
6. What about least favorite? That people use it to further things they shouldn't. It scares me knowing there are people on the Internet specifically looking for other people to target.
7. What are some good ways to deal with a pet loss? Buy a new one!

3x Thursday1. Do you look forward to getting new toys (appliances, gadgets, etc)? Why/why not? I love it! Knowing that something new I can play with is great.
2. Have you gotten any new toys lately (say, the last 6 months)? Do you like them? I just received my new 2GB Flash Drive from Buy.com, but haven't had a chance to add files to it yet.
3. Do you get any satisfaction out of getting new electronic equipment? Why/why not? Not as much as computer equipment. Yes, a new television (Thanks Grandma & Grandpa!) is wonderful, but getting a new piece of computer equipment is more fun.
