Totally not a sale pitch

So I went and got myself a new cellphone and plan today.

Been working with a Fido $10 pay as you go thing for the past 6 years now and lately I've started burning through my minutes at an alarming rate so it might be time to upgrade.

Wind mobile apparently had a pretty good promo going on right now (that ends in 4 days) of $150 rebate and your first month free.  Course theres no such thing as a free lunch and the 150 is split over 5 months but that still isn't bad at all.  So I signed on and brought my number over so no changes there.  $35/month for unlimited calling anytime, no charge incoming and 50 outgoing txts. Best part is that calling from the US is 25c a min and txts are 10c so not much worries there either. (In fact thats less than my pay as you go rate O_o)

UnFortunately I could not use my current phone since Wind uses AWS frequencies and so bought a new unit - was $130 but this means I am finally able to SEND texts now!  (So I might kick out another $5 and get unlimited txting too)  And because it's a side slide with qwerty keyboard I don't have to learn how to use those strange keypad shortcuts either! XD

Now if only the iPhone was compatible, though I am intrigued by the NexusOne that does work on their network.

Yea, totally not a sales pitch. >_
