Good day, sunshine!

Feeling oddly cheerful today. I can see blue skies out of my window (very rare treat this winter) and I had a really good day at work. So much so that I could've kept on talking about renaissance art to the students for another 45 minutes more. I'm not exactly sure they would've appreciated it, but I was so excited. Well, at least I've got stuff ready for their next lesson then...

And what else is new? Well, there's always this.
Yesterday we (I & my friend Heli) planned our trip to Wales a bit. At the moment it looks like I'm going to be flying to London for midsummer (on 20th, 21st or 22nd of June) and Heli will follow on the 25th. Then we'll head to Cardiff and finally end up in Caernarfon (or somewhere else in the Northern Wales) and probably fly home from Liverpool on the 8th of July.

Ridiculously cheap flights from RyanAir (I mean, if I fly out on 20th, my flight will cost me 9,99 euros + taxes) are the ones we'll be taking, because that's a way to save some money for accommodation etc. in Wales. And yes, I know it's not the most comfortable way, but honestly, I don't care. It's a three hour flight and I don't have any excess money. So if I can save over 100 euros by flying RyanAir, then I'll take it. :)

But honestly, I'm so hyped about the idea of spending 3 or 4 days (alone!) in London it's really ridiculous. And the weirdest part of it all is, that I have a feeling I will feel right at home in Britain. Even though I've never been there. Although I think I'm probably going to be a bit overwhelmed by London. I'll be terribly worried I'll get lost, heh. (Aren't I glad I speak fluent English so I can always ask for help...) But Wales won't be so huge, luckily. And how could I not fall in love with a country which has more castles per square mile than any other country in Europe? Or which has leek as their national emblem? (See me hyperventilate from excitement here? *lol*) Of course, if I get awfully disappointed on the trip, I'll accuse the whole of Wales of personally letting me down. So you'd better not, Wales!

But anyway, since the last time I was anywhere further away from Finland than Stockholm or Tarto was in 1995, I'm thrilled I finally have the income to afford travelling. And I'm so sorry for you guys who have to listen to me hype about it. I'm sorry, I can't help it...

Oh, and now those tips on affordable b&b -type accommodation in London would be perfect. :)
