[Heather... had kind of guessed it was probably the same guy, although she'd never seen or heard him (that SHE knew of, anyway).]

[... She doesn't comment on the things that he'd done to Kay, but there's a sort of tightness in her tone. It's not sadness. It's just anger. She knew all too well what it was like to be subjected to.... things. For a purpose or just for the sake of some twisted medical curiosity. And thinking about all the things mentioned being done to someone else... especially a bright, happy-go-lucky girl like Kay... it kind of made Heather want to hurt things. Badly.]

It pissed me the fuck off that we didn't get him last time, and I'd rather burn than see him get away with this again. [Odd choice of words, but... it got the effect across all right.] And Minnie's the last person who deserves ... that.

[ whether she's responding to the first or second question remains to be seen, but Kay honestly does intend to be okay. One day. Right now, she's far from okay, she's livid and worried and not at all happy, but she's used to putting herself aside for as long as it takes. ]

Heather might not have known the thief too well outside of their friendly interactions, but she'd survived the week in that disgusting cave and still come out able to smile.
