My parents and brother will be here in 2 days. I'm so excited. I feel like I haven't been this excited about something in a long time. I think I'm longing for that familiarity again. Don't get me wrong, I've enjoyed getting to know my dad's side of the family. They've taught me a lot about my own family and how important it is to keep in touch and build that relationship with one another. I was tough on my little brother and I know that he's not exactly the most tolerable type, but I'm going to try to make an effort to be more patient with him. He's a tough case because he doesn't give the reaction that I would want him to give me and I think that sometimes makes me frustrated--with him.
Anyway, they all get here on Thursday. I'm going to try to get off work early (my last day! hah!) so that I can be here when they get here. We're going to go out to dinner in West Chester and we'll all be here until Tuesday. (Gosh, I'm leaving PA a week from today--scary.) Than my mom and Bri are flying back and Dad and I are driving back and I'll be back in GA (God-willing) on Wednesday. These next few days are going to fly by!
I think once my parents and Bri get here I'm going to be much more relaxed around Norma and Daryl, not that I haven't been relaxed around them, but since they're an older couple, having my parents there will sort of ease that awkwardness. I mean they're my parents age but they have like a bazillion grandkids already. It's weird. We Diggelmanns aren't even married yet, nevermind the grandkids.
Ahhh, time for sleepies. 2 more days at my boring internship. Yay!
