A Film You Watch To Feel Good
The New Adventures Of Pippi Longstocking
This one honestly depends on what I'm trying to feel good about. Sometimes I'll watch horror films to feel good about my life, but other times I'll go for something silly and nostalgic. So in light of a recent rediscovery, I have chosen
"The New Adventures Of Pippi Longstocking" I used to have this movie on VHS and watched it constantly, somehow though, since transitioning to DVDs, I misplaced my copy. So when I found it online, I acquired it and watched it. Based on the series of books by
Astrid Lindgren, this film is about Pippi, a young girl whose father's ship is caught in a storm and they get separated. Pippi finds her way to her father's house which is abandoned, and makes friends with the kids who live next door. The adults in the town are concerned about Pippi's welfare and eventually she is taken to an orphanage.
It's actually a terrible film, but I know all the lines and there are songs, which makes everything better.
