Uhhh... wow... and to think that I'm actually going to start doing that on a daily basis... Since you don't know what I'm talking about, I'll explain it to you. As you know, I got 20lb. wrist/ankle weights... well... putting them on your calves is definitely worse than your forearms. @_@;; It wasn't bad at first... it just felt funny. So I go outside and walk around a bit and then I get the brilliant idea to go back inside, strap on my 5-8lb. combat boots, and then put my weights on over those and go for a jog... I got more than I bargained for. I could barely jog... it was more like marching in place, really. Nonetheless I jogged half a mile... and man did that burn. The entirety of my legs felt like they were on fire and I couldn't stop huffing for a good 10 minutes (literally). It hurt to lay down on the couch; that's how much stress it put on my legs. However, I have decided to do this once a day every day until I either: a) get used to it or b) don't huff nearly as much. Having 25-28 extra pounds on each leg is definitely a change. I want to try to do some pull-ups like that, but I believe I'll wait until I fully recover. ^^;; However, after I finally took the weights off I felt like I was levitating; it was awesome. (Note: I can run nearly 50% more quickly than I usually can after that jog with the weights... that means I can run about 15 or so mph right now... maybe more).
