A peek at my wishlist
Every girl has dream dresses, and here are some of the ones at the top of my list:
Alice and the Pirates Sleeping Beauty JSK.
My #1 dream dress...I can't tell you how long I've been stalking auctions and community sales looking for this and I haven't found this dress. It's the dress that inspired me to follow lolita. I saw a coordinate posted with this dress paired with a black blouse and everything, it was just so elegant. I hope one day to make it mine.
Baby the Stars Shine Bright Velveteen JSK.
I think every lolita needs at least one nice velvet dress and this would be the one I'd wear. It's so simple yet elegant. I'd love this in any of the colorways besides green. I'm likely going to have to commission a replica of it, as I tried one in store and it was much too tight and short on me.
Victorian Maiden JSK.
My first love before discovering Mary Magdalene and Alice and the Pirates. This dress is so simple but the small details- the pleats, the pintucks, the removable off-the-shoulder piece- just elevate it to a whole new level of elegance. It's a shame Victorian Maiden doesn't make much that fits me at all, so I'm going to have to make this myself someday.
Mary Magdalene Paulina JSK.
I normally wouldn't wear anything with this style, but if I were to own just 1 it would be this. But....I'd need a replica. Mary Magdalene is my #1 favorite brand in terms of style, but nothing of their fits me at all. It's not that I'm some overweight blob, but I'm 5'8 and proportionate, so their clothing is at least 5 sizes too small and 6 inches too short.
Millefleurs Floral Jacquard JSK.
This brand doesn't seem to be very popular but I just love their stuff. Like Victorian Maiden, most of their stuff doesn't fit me, including this dress, but man, if I could get something just like it in my size, I'd be one happy lady.
