Not-So-Reading Wednesday?

This past weekend's movie pick was Edge of Tomorrow, which I had extremely low expectations for and only watched because it was the lowest common denominator movie choice of my movie-watching group. I was thus pleasantly surprised when Edge of Tomorrow thoroughly exceeded my expectations to be a genuinely enjoyable, fun action scifi movie. Tom Cruise was actually great in it as a cowardly officer who was trying his best to stay out of the war against the aliens. I would never have expected Emily Blunt as an action hero, but she was really great as one. Plus, the movie was a lot funnier than I expected. You could do a lot worse when it comes to summer blockbusters.

In other news, I'm falling behind on my reading because Captain America 2 continues to take over my life and all I am reading is fic. My fannish feelings are absolutely not fading. D:
