I HAVE CURTAINS NOW!!!! My dad came over yesterday and put up curtains in my bedroom. Yeah, I work a night shift job, sleep during the day, and I've been at it for about 2 years and I STILL didn't have curtains in my bedroom. These aren't the thickest things (they still let in some light) but it's definitely better than how bright the sun was before, and they'll do until I can splurge on some velvet ones or something. All of the sun-blocking ones on bedbath and beyond, etc, look kind of ugly and wouldn't match anything in my place. Not that anything matches, but you know what I mean.
While my dad was here, my mom and I finally went over to Ikea and picked up the desk that I've been wanting for I don't know how long. It's always been sold out, and now they have it in stock and my mom has a car big enough to carry it. Although we did have to open one of the boxes and just put the parts in the back...but these really cute goofy workers at Ikea helped us out. If I had more guts/had bathed that day/wasn't wearing ugly clothes/had gotten more sleep/thought that they were my age, I totally would have given them my number.
My dad also built the chest of drawers that I bought a while back. I only got about 1/4 way done with building it myself, but the problem with those little Ikea screwdrivers is that they're VERY painful for I think just about anyone, and there were about 12 screws to be done on the damn thing. My dad was totally awesome and fashioned a bigger one that doesn't put such a strain on your wrist, and he left it here, so if I decide that I want to build the bookshelves I bought or the desk, I can. Yaaaaaaaay for parents!
I did one of those 5 hour energy shots yesterday, and while I didn't CRASH like I did last time, it was not pretty. The drink tends to make me really giddy and hyper, so it was like a manic phase (I'm guessing), where I was totally happy and chipper for a while there, and then afterwards the ".....huh." phase was just a little bit too much. Definitely got really really depressed and lonely for no damned good reason. Even right now I feel like I'm slipping. And I don't mean for that to be emo, it's just frustrating. But I totally learned my lesson about that stuff. It's a shame that I still have one more bottle around here somewhere. If anyone wants to see what being bipolar is probably like, let me know and you can have the bottle. Don't say I didn't warn you.
So right now I'm taking a break from finishing up my book (A Game of Thrones...it's soooooo good, and I usually hate/can't understand political/war stories), baking a stouffer's lasagna so I have something to eat at work tonight, and drying some clothes so I have something clean to wear. Tonight's going to be loooooong because I'm working with B. I just really hope I have the patience for that tonight.
