watch where you stick that
tonight after work michelle, holly and i went on a search for pub steak. michelle had been talking about it all week and due to economic factors i hadn't eaten it in months. i was craving it... gagging for it... i could almost taste it... we went to the paddo only to find $6.95 steak night is on mondays, so we drove past the caxton where it was 2-4-1 meals, but there was 3 of us. we headed out to the alderley arms but the bistro was closed and ventured back to the city... famished and low on moral we soldiered on only to find another spring hill pub had NO CHEAP STEAK MEALS.
dejected we headed back to the car only to see a blackboard on the horizon which proclaimed "4.95 T-BONE LUNCH" and we ventured inside. the bar staff were super friendly and we all ordered rib eye fillet and chips [$12] well done. it was the biggest, juiciest chuck of cow flesh. so damn good. ohhh my gosh. it was seriously the most fulfilling experience i've had in months.
later, basking in joy, bellies full, we looked around the quaint little pub filled with men, noticed the ad for mens only strip pool and denim and leather night at the "mineshaft" downstairs. in our quest for meat we had unwittingly stumbled into, well, a place where everyone was on a quest for meat. we were the only girls in the place, it was hell fun. on our way home we ran into a group of young men looking for a good time... asking us if we knew of any... clearly not from brisbane as they didn't even know where the city was, they were really rude to us so i suggested they try a little pub up the street...
