Random Thoughts 91109
1. Went bazaar-gaga at Yuletide Souk with LA yesterday. We were like two headless chickens going "ooo" and "aaaahh" over every item we saw. It was fun though, because normally when I "tiangge shop" with mom, I always have to put up a poker face and appear disinterested, lest the tiangge lady jack up the price. Oh and LA and I both realized the disadvantage of having many friends (yep, we saw at least 4 booths owned by common friends) -- having to "support" them financially and be diplomatic about it. Boohoo. But we saved face by putting up our biggest smiles and saying we'd bring our moms when we come back... (insert: IF we come back). But I was super happy because I found this pretty knitted gray dress ala Serena van der Woodsen. Comfy and fit just right. ♥
2. My ex-boss' wedding is in 3 weeks and I still don't have a date. Not that I have to bring one.. just that I'm thinking I should. Gahk. Or maybe I'll just join my ex-officemates. I'm kinda excited though. White beachy theme with lots of interesting advertising people. Hope it won't be awkward. I just have to figure out how to best, most politely explain why I left that world... or maybe I can find ways to avoid the subject. Then again, me thinks that not bringing a date may will also have its perks... ;)
3. Today was Luis Inigo's (Rio's baby) dedication (sort of like a baptism but more of an informal ceremony -- Christian kasi, not Catholic) and I was a superpoud ninang. I got goosebumps holding that candle and saying "yes" to the responsibility of taking part in bringing up that baby. I realize that I now have 3 inaanaks -- 2 pretty girls and one gwapo little baby boy... is this the same as being sort of like a bridesmaid to 3 weddings? Like when you hit the maximum number of inaanaks, it's a sign that your time's up and you have to have your own baby na (in the case of bridesmaids it would be 'time's up -- it's your turn to get married')? Either way, I'm still very much enjoying single life and don't think I'm ready for that kind of responsibility.
4. Getting really addicted to looklet.com. My heart skips a beat when someone 'likes' my creation -- how pathetic is that? haha :p But the items there are really, really nice. Makes you wish you could buy 'em for cheapo prices. Imagine generating your own look and clicking 'create' and *presto* finding it in your own closet..hahaha in my dreaaams.
5. Second year, second sem starts later (and I can't sleep because my body clock is weird)! If I get through this sem I would have finished half of law school. haha :) In any case I'm just thankful I was able to hurdle the past 3 sems and managed to make it to Dean's List. :) Unexpected but I guess God really has a plan. I just pray that I keep learning and I keep growing and eventually find THEfield I'm meant to pursue...
