Ohno was stretching.
The next morning after Satoshi’s defeat to Ohno Senior, he was up much earlier than he wanted to be. He had to head out now or he would be late for the drama audition his manager Otaki had eagerly set up for him. Going down the house’s creaky stairs, he found his mother half sticking out of a closet under the staircase, muttering to herself.
“Mom? What are you doing?”
She looked up momentarily from the closet. “Getting your stuff ready to pack, of course. I didn't this day would ever come. I’m so happy for you and Jun!” His mother smiled widely and then reburied herself in the cupboard. “You’ll need your heavy jacket and matching gloves...”
Satoshi couldn’t figure out if it was sweet or ridiculous, so he only remained silent as he shuffled to the kitchen to grab a banana before he left.

It seemed like the second Jun’s plane landed from Las Vegas, he’d already called Leader to arrange the soonest time possible to go over to the Ohno household. He'd also said his movie filming overseas had ended successfully, with little help from his co star. Matsujun muttered that the actress must have been screwing up on purpose to elongate the time he had to spend with her.
Satoshi stared at his closed cell phone, thoroughly amused. Jun made him promise they’d help his mother pack as soon as they would finish Shukudai filming that very night. Then, he'd even been told off for letting his mom do most of the work already. Ohno shook his head and decided an excited Matsujun was endearing, but a little pushy too.
Their group members couldn't help but comment on the silly grin Jun was sporting when he arrived on the set and because of his willingness to participate in Aiba's strange new game with not a single complaint.
Nino poked Ohno in the side, asking, "What have you done to him?"
He only shrugged, but when his boyfriend's laughter echoed from across the room at something Aiba had said, Leader couldn't stop a smile from growing at the rich sound.
"For that matter, what has he done to you?"
He tried to smack Nino in response, but missed because he couldn't be bothered to remove his gaze from the pair.
After their usual routine of food, talking, and several failed games, the director finally shouted the okay. Jun clapped his hands together in excitement. “Oi Satoshi, what’re you standing around for? We’ve got packing to do.” The taller man grabbed Leader by the hand and dragged him out of the studio, followed by their group member’s snickers.
Jun only allowed Leader to stop by their dressing room for a moment in order to grab his things, then led the shorter man out to the staff parking lot. Easily finding Matsujun’s white Honda Fit by a chirp as it unlocked, Leader settled himself tiredly into the passenger seat. Jun gave a sympathetic grin, bending over to input their destination in the car’s navigation system.
Ohno let his boyfriend do most of the talking on the drive over. The actor had many stories from his trip abroad to share with him, both about the places he'd been to and the various mishaps during filming. However, the conversation shifted topics at a stoplight when Jun asked, “So, do your parents know about us?” Ohno thought the tone might have sounded nonchalant, but it was clear he really wanted to know by how tight he was gripping the steering wheel.
“Mom insisted she wants us to visit at least once a month. Dad said if you can beat him at Wii sports, he’ll give you my hand in marriage.”
Jun looked at him in shock, blinked, and then gave a muffled chuckle before he burst out into laughter. Naturally, Satoshi joined in, happy that his choice of words had reassured the other. They jumped when the car behind them honked impatiently, only then realizing the light had turned green some time ago.
Several lefts and rights later, they pulled up to Ohno’s two story cookie cutter house, only distinguishable by the odd shade of light blue his parents had painted it. The lights shining from the front room welcomed the pair as they parked into the small driveway.
Satoshi climbed out and turned around to close his door, puzzled when he saw Jun open the door to the back seat of his Honda. The young man pulled out a bouquet of lilies, shut the door, and circled the white car.
“When did you...?”
Matsumoto slipped an arm around his waist, directing Ohno to the front entrance. “I asked my manager to pick them up while we were filming. I wanted to make a good impression.”
Ohno shook his head, smiling. “Jun, you make a good impression no matter where you go.”
