EroP 8/28 Tuesday Night

I went to Shibuya for some shopping earlier in the day and got lunch at Sweets Paradise. I ended up waiting outside for a while, but although it was hot, the wind helped a ton. The seat tonight was on the absolute end, facing backstage. I like those kind of seats more because you can see what really goes on during a concert.

We could hear the group cheer from the staff and dancers.  The crowd was yelling an EroP chant, but behind the screen, the staff shone a flashlight to help Pi find the "lips".

The talking part in "Ai Texas" was, "Tokyo! There's something I've been meaning to tell you but kept a secret until now. But I'm looking at you with 'ero' eyes." He had his eyes wide open and saluted to us several times. "Let's make this the best concert ever!" At the beginning of "Hadakanbo," he got his white jacket and the gold jacket underneath tangled up for a moment. He complimented our 'perfect clapping' in "Kimi to Kaze to Mikazuki", then went to the side stage for "Inside, Outside."

"I'm EroP!" He held up one arm and used his other hand to cover his armpit. We yelled enthusiastically and he said, "Your cheers are always so powerful! I went around the arena and all I could see were teenagers. (Whooo~.) I hope that we can have a fun time and get closer. Like lovers. (Whooo~.) There will be some parts later when I'll want everyone to clap together and jump around. It's the end of summer now, so have a good time. You know, you can yell whatever you want. Like, "Take it off!" (Take it off!) It's still too early for that! Everybody, let's get pumped up!"

The beating heart video came up, but I was busy watching backstage. The dancers and Pi hurried up the back stairs after changing and posed a few seconds before the lights went back on. The dancing was on the main stage, close to my side, for "Love Chase" and "One in a Million." Guess he hadn't spotted any foreigners yet, because he said the Japanese version of "Put your hands up like this!" tonight. The floating light sticks came down for "Hit the Wall." He gave us his usual fan service of lifting up his shirt in the song. "Gomen ne, Juliet," "Boku dake no Kimi ni," and "Turn Off the Lights" flew by. His shouts tonight were the same as before. For "Party Don't Stop," he yelled, "Keep it going, Yoyogi!" He did his skit of playing with the camera and blowing kisses to everyone, but as he did it, they shot out pink glitter all over the place. I didn't know until I got one from a nice fan later, but they were shaped like hearts.

"Yoyogi! Who's hot? (We yelled "Yes!") Atsui ze~ ('It's hot' said like Sugi-chan would say it.) But I'm not Sugi-chan. Even though I'm dressed like this. (The dancers had ripped off his sleeves earlier.) I didn't tell you that you could sit!! (We laughed and he finally told us it was okay.) Today and tomorrow are the last days of this tour. Sabishi~ ('I'm so sad' said with a pout.) Can I tell you something that's sort of bothering me right now? There are some important people over there." He pointed to the VIP section. "When I was dancing over there earlier, I wasn't sure what I should do." We all leaned forward to try and get a glimpse of who, but we couldn't tell.

"Anyway, I'll tell you a bit about the "Ero" album. It was during a planning meeting that my manager suggested the title by saying, "You're erotic, so let's use "Ero"." I thought, "EH?!!!" (His yell was really loud. ^_^) Bareta. (Or "They found out.")" He explained the rest of his story about becoming more ero and we let out another "Whooo~". "I think it's only for this "Ero" tour that you guys have used "Whooo~" so much." So we did it again. "You guys are so excited!"

"So who here bought the album? (Yes!) Who didn't? (Yes!) Why?! Okay, then the ones that did, please lend it to the others. In the album, I made a few of the songs. Most of them are dance music. I found that when I first entered Johnnys, that was what I was introduced to. That's where I met dancing. At first, I couldn't do any of the hard steps. But then you suddenly just get it. For middle schools in Japan, they'll be adding dance as a class - Can I drink this?" Without warning, he interrupted his own story and held up his tea. He took a quick gulp. "I've been holding it all along wondering how to stop and take a drink. (Don't spill it!) I didn't! (Drink it again!) Why? You're messing me up. Where was I? I hope that we'll all jump and dance together tonight. And the ones that didn't buy the album, please do."

"In October, I'll be starting a new drama "Monster" with Katori Shingo." His role is a cop, so he told us he would arrest us, saying, "Taihou shichaou zo~!" He said that the drama is a mystery. "Usually when I read mysteries, I like to try to figure out the end. When I looked through the script, I was trying to guess, but not once have I gotten it right. It kinds of betrays you in a good way."

"My character and Shingo's is kind of a mismatch, but it's interesting. I'm from the Saionji family. (Had to look this up. Apparently, they are an aristocratic family that were related to the Fujiwara Clan, an important and powerful group in history.) I'm a rich cop. I can buy you anything~!"

He told us about his commercial and asked who'd drank it before. "Really? But I thought you were all in your teens? But that's okay, because you all still look young."

Yamapi also mentioned the Nagoya fans with their strong handshakes during the Love Chase events. "Everyone in Tokyo is always holding back. You should try to let loose. Oh, and there's also the butt touching. It's okay, but there are two kinds. There's the soft touch and the firm squeeze. The soft touch is better."

"Who's in the fan club? (Yes!) Who's not? (Yes!) What? Please join before you leave. All you have to do is write down your address at the booth on your way out. It would make me happy. It would also make Johnny-san happy."

Then Pi finally revealed who was sitting over in the VIP section. The director and producer for "Ending Planner" had come tonight. Plus Tamamori-kun! (From Kis-My-Ft2! He was in the first couple episodes of "E.P") He was in a black "EroP" shirt. We were all excitedly pointing him out, so Yamapi got annoyed at us. "I'm gonna get jealousy if you keep looking over there! Hey! Okay, fine. Cheating is okay. So long as you always come back to me." We cheered happily at that.

Next, he picked the winners for "Romantic". "Now, I'd like to vote- ah, no- choose the winner by lottery. The girls that win usually get really nervous. (He did his nervous girl impression.) Just like the girls that I pointed to earlier! You guys make uchiwa that say "point at me" or "give me a peace sign", right? But when I do it, you freeze up just like that! They'd completely forgotten what they'd written on their own uchiwa. If you make one, "take responsibility" for what is says and give me some kind of reaction." Ahaha. =^_^=

And after his whole speech about reactions, he couldn't hardly get them from the winners. They were probably too shocked, but he could only ask, "Why? There's no "Wiii~" or "Yay"? Let's try again." The second time was marginally better.

Then it was question time. He came over to our side first. The first girl that he picked asked, "Do you like sunflowers?" He answered, "Well, I do, but I haven't really given it that much thought before. Is that really okay? Do you want to ask another question?" The second one was better. "What color is your underwear?" He approved of it with a smirk. "How about I show you?" He stood up and pulled down the side of his pants so that we could see. It was the special "EroP" underwear that comes with the CD. ^_^ The crowd was very pleased. "For asking such a good question, here." He tossed her his towel. "Sunflowers suit you."

"Got one?" The next girl wanted to know how to wake up in the morning. "Hmm. First, you need to get your blood pressure up. And you should go to bed early. Then you'll wake up naturally. Why are you crying?" She'd started to sob happily. "I wake up early too, you know. Are you listening to me?" He joked with her, trying to get her to stop crying. "And you need an alarm. With a snooze button." Yamapi thanked her for her question and moved to the arena. As he was walking, he kept up a running commentary of things he had noticed about us and Tokyo fans in general. "Oh! Very nice!" He stopped at a girl that had been holding out a pair of the EroP underwear. He grabbed it from her and promptly put in on his head, like a beanie but not. "See? It has many uses." We cracked up at that. It was an adorable sight.

He found another fan that had made an uchiwa with feathery stuff around the edges. "What's your name? (Airi.) Where are you from? (Ibaraki.) What's your question? (Where in America was your favorite place?) All of it was very fun, but the scenery in Monument Valley was the best. It was my first time to be in a place like that. There was no sound at all, no wind. The only thing I could hear was my own breathing. It was a really good experience."

The next question was from a girl that wanted to know how to get a boyfriend. Yamapi pointed his mic at the woman next to her and checked, "Is she your Mom? (No.) You're already worried about stuff like that? How old are you? (14.) You'll be able to. Don't worry. And if you can't, I'll be your boyfriend. Yahoo~~!!" We copied him.

The boy that he spoke to after that was funny. He immediately said, "Please give me those clothes." Yamapi looked down at his outfit. "I'm sorry, but I'm still kind of using them. Do you have another question?" The boy asked, "What color is brain tissue?" Pi smiled at the silly inquiry. "Probably... brown-ish. Where are you from? (Nagano.) Thank you for coming. Enjoy the rest of the concert."

He found another young boy. "What's your favorite sport?" Yamapi said that if he was doing it, he likes basketball, but I missed what he said if he was just watching it. Maybe, soccer?

As Yamapi walked by the arena seats, he high-fived random people, but one got a good grip on his hand and yanked him back. "Ow, ow! Okay, just like that." He was referencing back to his talk about how Tokyo fans should be more aggressive. The older woman he picked asked, "Why are you so cool?" He smiled. "It's because all of you are cheering me on! Chorisu~!"

He stopped for a bit to play with the plastic cups that a girl had written "エ" and "ロ", or "Ero", on the ends of. Just like his usual "山P" ones, he held them up to his face after checking that he was holding them the right way.

The last girl that he talked to wanted to know what she should do about looking older than her age, which was 18. "Really? (They think I look more like a Mom.) You look 18 to me. And in that school uniform you're wearing, it makes you look younger. Don't worry. (By the way, like the people that you'd mentioned before about having strong handshakes, in my right hand, I have a grip strength of 42.) Whoa!" He held out his hand for her to shake. "Please don't grip it that hard though."

"I'm having a really good time now. But I'm sure there are some of you that do have things you are worried about." Then he sang "Kibou ~ Yell" to cheer them on.

"There's something I've realized recently. One thing that can't be bought with money is time. You all came here, you made your uchiwa... All of it is important to me. Let's make this a fun summer memory."

He asked if we were having fun and we answered with "Iitomo!". Then, he invented today's cheers to go into the second half. "I'll say "Ok!" and you say "Let's go!"

The guitarists entertained us on the main stage until Pi reappeared for "Be the One" and "Shiver".

The two young women that came on stage for "Romantic" were re~ally nervous. One was in a pink kimono. For the question session, he kicked his leg out and crossed it over rather hilariously. "Where are you from? (Ha~~) Where's 'Ha~~' located? (Saitama...) How old are you? (17.) What's your name? (Asami.) You're in high school? (Yes.) Then good luck on your studies." He turned to the kimono girl, but had to kick his other leg out and cross it over the other way first. "Where are you from? (Motomachi Chukagai.) I came from there too. What's your name? (Kasumi.) How old are you? (20.) You definitely seem like an adult. The kimono suits you well. Who did you come with? (A friend.) Is she in a kimono too? (No... Her name is Nene.) Nene-chan, hello." He held out his mic for the first girl to answer who she'd come with too. "(My Mom.) And there's no way that she's in a kimono, right? (No.)" The flowers tonight were sort of pink-orange. He gave one sitting on the back of the seat and the other kneeling down. "And these are a bit of my feelings for you too!" The balloons started falling from above. Then staff members started tossing them from the back of the stand seats too! I was surprised that they did that, but unfortunately, they never made it over to the sections on the ends.

The "P-chan" panda squad came out to wrangle Yamapi into his yellow "pet" head gear. He was complaining the whole time, "We can't do this. Not in Tokyo. I can't look this stupid for them. I won't sing. I really won't!" And then he does. "Baby, Baby" is cute to watch but the crowd was kind of busy catching balloons at the same time. He did his usual "kyuuri no sumomi" gag too.

"It's samba time! Yahoo~~!" We copied Pi's shout. The dancers came out and he said, "Oh, yes," several time in English. Then they managed to wrestle him out of his white jacket. "I can take it off myself!" He ducked behind his screen to change on stage, but since our seats are at an angle that we can see most of what goes on backstage, I could see him easily ever time he leaned forward to grab another piece of clothing! =^_~= He tossed off the yellow "pet" costume and immediately yanked off his pants, tossing them over for the pandas to play with. He pulled on the black "Carina" pants and barely got them zipped up before the light came on to show his silhouette. He slowly pulled of his white tank top and threw it over too. "Live changing sure is exciting, isn't it? Hey pandas, don't look!" The black shirt came next. He quickly got it on, half shoving it in his pants and grabbed a drink from one of the staff members. They passed him his hat and his finished tucking in his shirt, turning around to face the front. The fire flared up to burn away the white paper and he stepped through. "Carina" is definitely a fav of mine.

The stage opened up and we could see the "P" box (Formerly the crate. It got an upgrade.) from our angle. The gangsters came out and Yamapi told them, "Are you trying to steal my girls away? How very small of you! Very small!" They shoved him inside and I discovered that from the angle of my seat, I could finally see through the trick. If you want to know, highlight the text. But some things may be better left a secret. -->  After Yamapi pokes his head out of the top of the box, he changes into the same hoodie that the gangsters are wearing while still inside of the box, then opens the "door" of the back, slipping out into the mass of gangsters that kept moving around the box before it gets lifted up. He was even carrying one of the "guns" that the others were holding. The video that plays was recorded beforehand, but it changes at every performance. They probably film it the day of. But counting the time from when he gets out and hurries backstage, changes into the red suit, and runs half-crouched through the underside of the center walk way, he must be re~ally in a rush.

The video on the screen inside of the box was Pi complaining about it being hot. "Hot! So hot!" He opens his shirt and wipes the "sweat" off of his chest with his hand, sensually. "Huh? Is that a camera? Can you see me? Sukebe~ (Perverts!) Sorry... Ah, it's shaking." The gray sheet was pulled up, then the various escapees ran around the arena. Pi pops out at center stage, tearing the cloak off for "Blood Diamond". "Odoru Yoru" was at the main stage and the camera sure~~ zoomed on his crotch when he did his hip thrusts. From my "breezy" seat, the fire in "Perfect Crime" wasn't so hot. The fireworks still caught me off guard. The fire had made the arena rather smokey and there were quite a few people that couldn't hold back coughs. I blame the layout of Yoyogi Stadium.

Yamapi narrated his letter to himself and I was watching for when he'd come back out to sing "Nayami no Mori no Mannaka". "I think it's very important that you've spent this time with me here. Thank you for coming. I hope that you'll go forward on each of your paths and I will as well. I want to move forward while believing in the staff and fans that support me. Recently, I feel that to make a concert is a great thing. Thank you very much to the staff members. And to you. Thank you for giving me the power to do a concert. I'll keep working hard, so please support me in the future too. Now, let's have some fun. Juniors, come on!"

The juniors come out with their lollipops for "Candy". Pi asked one boy his name and age. He was only 7! "Do your best!" The second was Junnosuke. "How old are you? (11.) Which sempai do you respect the most? (Yamapi.) Excellent, absolutely wonderful."

"Dance Jam" and "Touch You" were spent on the P cart, rolling around the arena. He also used the t-shirt cannons again. While his voice was still auto-tone, he said, "Up at the top! Thank you! Tokyo! Yahoo~~!" We immediately copied him. He waved goodbye, the screen closed, and he ran down the stairs at the back.

I knew he'd be at the top for the encore, but I wasn't sure which side. It was ours though! He was quickly rolled out as "Daite Senorita" started. He was giving high-fives again, but later down the line, someone got a good hold and pulled hard. I don't think he cared that much because he yelled, "Whoo~hoo~" after. He got to the back of the stadium. "I'm going to disappear for a bit." The kiss in the song was followed by a "Mu~haa~" from Pi. "Seishun Amigo" had more "Yahoo~~!"s in it. The band intros came last.

The second encore began with more teasing from Yamashita. "Did you call? (Yes!) Okay, bye. (Eh?!) Just kidding. It makes me really happy that you did the 'EroP' call. I find I'm at my happiest during concerts. Band, can you come back out? I'm really sad that it's ending. We'll have to meet again soon. By that time, I'll have become three times as erotic!" He yelled for us to get ready. "Are you excited?! (Yeah!) More! (Yeah!) Do you like EroP?! (Yeah!) You've got me there." I only stayed for the end of "Ai Texas" and started to head out before they'd close the exits off. I could hear as I was at the exit that he came out one last time for some more "Yahoo~"s and one last song of "Ero".

I wonder if he'll add an extra song tomorrow or not?
