So, I translated this because
puffymoto requested it. I wish I had more time to set about translating more things properly, but it's hard with work and all. -_-; Hopefully puffy will upload the subbed version soon for everyone to enjoy! <3
Mezamashi dude: We have an Arashi special interview for you.
We just had a session at the end of the year, but we were able to speak to Arashi again.
This time, the interview was especially taken on January fifth, only the day before yesterday
concerning “Saigo no Yakusoku”, and a great deal about how they spent their New Years.
Sho: Please release the hostages!
Mezamashi: The special drama “Saigo no Yakusoku" featuring all five members of Arashi will be aired the day after tomorrow.
We were hoping to promptly ask the members about the highlights of this drama,
but for some reason the topic started with “New Years”.
Ohno: As for me, on the first and second, I returned home to be with my family,
and had a Bingo Tournament.
It was the four of us
and one person from my Dad’s company.
Nino: That guy comes up every now and then.
Sho: That guy does come up, doesn't he?
Nino: He really does come up occasionally.
Jun: Is that the guy that you played Wii with? (Referring to an Utaban ep about a Wii Tournament with the same guy)
Nino: Who is that guy? He came to your year-end party too?
Jun: Is that the one you played bowling with?
Ohno: We’ve done bowling and stuff.
Nino: He pops up pretty often.
Ohno: We like him.
Nino: Ah, you like him…
Sho: Ohno-san, what did you win?
Ohno: I won a necklace.
Aiba and Jun: You’re wearing it?
Ohno: I’m wearing it.
Everyone: Oh! Really? Show us!
Jun: Which one, which one? Take it out.
Ah! I know this.
Aiba: It’s pretty cute.
Sho: It’s a crown with a black...
Sho: What about you, Nino?
Nino: I was at home, didn't go anywhere. It's become a bit of a custom,
but I was sorting through my receipts
rather intently
Jun: Well, it is a season to do it,
but you didn't have to do it on the first three days of the year.
Nino: But y’know, isn't it easy to miss the timing for going back to your parent's house?
Interviewer: The “New Years” talk continued, but because we only had time for 20 minutes…
Staff: Excuse me, but could you make it a bit shorter?
Nino: Sorry, but this is the first time we’ve all met this year, so we kinda got carried away.
Jun: I went traveling. Domestic travel.
Nino: And you, Sho-san?
Sho: I went back home. And you?
Aiba: That’s too fast!
Nino: It’s because they were telling us to hurry up.
Aiba: I went traveling abroad.
Sho: Ah, I see.
Aiba: Ooi~
Nino: What? You don’t really need to say anything about going abroad anyway, right?
Aiba: But I was really well prepared.
Sho: To go abroad, right?
Jun: In case there might have been a lot of reporters.
Aiba: Yeah, like I expected "Aiba-san, Aiba-san! Where are you going?"
But there wasn't a single person, and I was kinda lonely
so I asked two of my friends to act like reporters and ask questions or yell like a crowd would.
Well... That's how it was.
Mezamashi: And now, here's the story:
Terrorist: We have taken over this building.
Mezamashi: Armed terrorists seized control of a building,
and the terrorists that have taken hostages demand a ransom of 3 hundred million yen from this building's president
and if he doesn't comply within 90 minutes, they will blow it up.
In this building, by coincidence, are these five men.
Sho: We won't wait any longer than this!
Mezamashi: But just what is the real objective of the ransomers?
When these men who are split up finally cross paths,
it will lead to a shocking ending in this #1 human suspense.
But when we asked about this drama that Aiba called a "fantasy",
Aiba: I didn't really feel the time pass.
It was fun, so it passed by quickly.
Please wait a second. I'll prepare a better comment.
Sho: It was fine, completely fine. What was your favorite scene?
Aiba: My favorite scene? Hm, I wonder if it's okay to say...
At the end (************), but being together was great.
Jun: Aiba-san, that comment is borderline.
Nino: And what's more, Aiba-san, it's borderline "out".
Mezamashi: It's been 10 years since the five have starred in a drama together.
Jun: 10 years ago, with Fuji TV, we were able to do a drama called "V no Arashi".
And from that time, I can clearly feel the difference in the atmosphere
and how we express ourselves on the set.
It's interesting, of course, how five people have five styles.
Mezamashi: Certainly, their styles of approach are different.
For example, after the "cut", Matsumoto checks his performance on the monitors.
And the other members do the same,
But only Nino almost never checked the monitors.
Why is that?
Nino: Basically, I'm interested in making things,
but not so much in the finished product.
Mezamashi: But even Nino has a great interest in the other member's works.
Nino: When I'm at home, drinking beer and watching their shows,
it's like, "I know this guy's phone number."
It's that kind of enjoyment that I have, so...
Aiba: You feel superior, right?
Nino: Yeah, it's like "I know that guy. We were just together a bit ago."
Jun: Pretty often, Leader sends a message after he watches them.
Nino: Why is that?
Ohno: It's like "I know this guy".
Nino: You're confirming!?
Ohno: Or kinda like saying, "Good work".
Mezamashi: And now, the Arashi that had conquered the music scene last year
has created a new song on behalf of the drama, "Sora Takaku", to play as the ending theme.
This is "Mezamashi Dokusen"
That's right 1 2 3 4 5 We'll run today too
In a moment when it's pouring down rain
We are searching for the forgotten smiles
to overcome this moment
Jun: I really like this song.
I can really feel our 10 years strongly in its message
and it also fits with the drama's characters too.
Sho: As for me, I wrote the rap lyrics in the middle of the song.
Back then, I lost something
This short distance is slightly bitter
Dull colors, words, sounds, vows
I want to see a future with you in it again
But there's no way that the rap part will be playing at the end.
Nino: Because it's such a strict world.
Sho: Someday...
Nino: You'd like to let everyone hear it.
Mezamashi: Last year, Arashi was able to create a large gap that they have the confidence to continue expanding the distance of. All five will star in this latest special drama.
And finally, for 2010, we asked Leader, Ohno Satoshi, what Arashi's greatest ambition is for this year...
Ohno: Definitely, staying healthy is the most important thing.
Jun: Ohno-san, you've always said that.
Ohno: Well, if you aren't healthy, you can't do anything,
so this year, I think I want to try to send many messages.
Jun and Nino: What do you mean?
Ohno: Things like, "Are you sleeping properly?"
Sho: We might not sleep because of it.
Ohno: Or, "Are you eating a decent salad?"
Jun: If that's the case, then Ohno-san should take us out to meals and stuff.
Nino: Then, what if you got a message from Aiba-san that said "I haven't been able to eat recently"?
Ohno: I'd say, "You gotta eat properly".
Nino: Take him out! Take him out somewhere.
Mezamashi 1: That was the start of this year with Arashi. Once again, I have to think that these five are really five great people.
Mezamashi 2: You can't help but feel that listening to them talk together is really fun.
Mezamashi 3: And then, in return I feel happy from watching them enjoy themselves.
Mezamashi 1: They really get along well. And once more, we'd like to inform you that Ohno Satoshi is playing a janitor, Matsumoto a bike delivery man, Ninomiya is a security center staffperson, Sakurai a life insurance salesman, and Aiba is a coffee shop clerk.
Just how will these five preform in this suspense?
Mezamashi 2: How about this song?
(And from here I can't hear very well since their voices are overlapping. T.T Sorry)
Mezamashi 1: That was our Arashi special. How was it?
Arashi was supported through 2009, and of course, between themselves too. This year will also be the same.
