Sunday was basically mom's day.
She decided to celebrate her birthday a day earlier since we're all busy on Monday. As usual, we go to church on Sundays where she serves as a... I don't know what you call those people who give the Body of Christ but she does that. The priest during that service is Father Coi. He's vietnamese and he talks like he has a bunch of tissues in his mouth. Okay, I admit, that's a bitchy thing to say. But he does give the best sermons! (yes, I listen to them) He has all this life stories he shares and his sermons are well-constructed and very eloquent.
For my mom's treat, she wanted to go to San Pedro's Port O'calls. It's a wharf where all the fishing boats and sail boats stop by. The restaurants in there all serve fresh fish and you have to use your hands. Divine! Let me tell you, it was a messy and dirty place but I love it! The smell of fish and seawater was amazing. It really gets you all pumped up to devour some shrimp, crab legs, lobster and such.
Afterwards, we took a stroll down the so-called fishing village. They had these quaint little stores there that sell souveneirs, witchcraft stuff and surprisingly vintage stuff. They even had a purple store! Literally everything inside it was purple. sighs... Can I just buy the whole damn store?!?!? We waited till it got dark and saw a cruise ship depart. When I see them in pictures it's not that impressive, but when you actually see it infront of your eyes? It was magic. Almost scary at times but it was a genuine experience.
