Yes, so yesterday I made an extremely important purchase. I bought a new bike! Finally! My last Piece o' Crap was stolen last summer (I had gotten into the habit of leaving in front of my apartment in a state that only looked locked. My reasoning, who would steal that piece of junk? Apparently someone was desperate or bored enough), and I have been bikeless every since, as I had to use what money I had for more important things (trip to oregon, camera, etc). Oh and how I like this new one. After going through two pieces of crap in a row (both cheapass walmart crap bikes. I thought as I didn't do mountain bike riding all that often, or do anything too awfully extreme on a bike they would suffice, apparently not) I decided to break down and spend the money necessary to get a relatively nice bike this time. And it is wonderful. It is so much easier to ride, the frame is a lot lighter, the breaks actually work (horrah!), and the handle bars don't squeak alarminly everytime I stand up and ride (to gain extra speed, yo). And on top of all that, it has a six month warrenty of niceness. Anytime anything comes lose, falls off, combusts, within the six months I can take it in to the bike shop I bought it from and they'll fix it for free. That and I get free tune ups.
So now, I'm going to be leaving this bike inside my apartment when I'm at home.
