its a baby!
at 7:32 tonight, 4/18/2008, Rhianna Powell and Allen Keys became the parents of Ethan Tyler Keys, born by cesarian at 7lbs 8oz.
it was very surreal to see my best friend holding her son. she'd been at the hospital since yesterday and was in labor for about 28 hours before it was decided a c-section would be the safest way to have him. i was at the hospital since 2pm and i left at 10:30 to come home for food. Baby, mom and dad are in good spirits probably passed out asleep by now. everyone is very excited and i have been given the title of 'honorary auntie' since i'm not related by blood. but as allen and rhianna's mom both said, i am chosen family. ^_^ i held him before i left, i have never held a baby at all, nor been involved with a birth of any child. this was my first. i held him and he just fell fast asleep, i was afraid to move! i just stood there, frozen, staring at this little boy and looked at rhianna and the grin from ear to ear. it was awesome.
