Blogging from 10,000 feet

Free wifi courtesy of Google on Holiday Delta flights. Woot. I'm glad I have a 13" notebook and nothing ANY bigger. The 13" is just BARELY small enough to fit between my gut and the back of the seat ahead of me. Typing is a pain; I'm likely to get a cramp soon.... I can however say I've now blogged an entry over two miles high *checks it off his bucket list*

But more importantly I'm on my way to Arizona! I got the LAST SEAT and was the last one to board the plane. It also happens to be the very last seat on the plane. I'm shoved up against the engine. Not a very comfortable spot for someone who is 6' 4". I didn't even have time to fish out my cell phone and call my parents, I took my seat and we left the gate. But that has been taken care of!

I got on the first flight out. Mom said all the later flights were overbooked so I was a bit worried. I also was a bit suprised. Who wants to be flying at 5pm on Christmas day? Now I'll have the entire day in Arizona. Tropical Christmas for the win!

In addition, Sun Country had cheap one way tickets FROM Phoenix to MSP still left when I looked last night. It would be a mere $60 more to have a confirmed seat coming back at a reasonable time. If that option is available when I land I've been authorized by my parents to do so. Tickets FROM MSP to PHX were insanely expensive, so Standby was the only way to get down there.

But I lucked out! Twice! I got my new wide-angle lens yesterday and I have it with me! I'll be able to get shots of the mountains and desert with a wide angle, and wider is certainly better! It will be awesome!

This is going to be the best Christmas I've ever had! Better then the year I got a powered gas-ice auger from the parents even!

The only downside is because this flight gets in so early on Christmas Day my grandparents are going to be at Church and partaking in stuff afterwards. I'll have to burn a few hours in the Phoenix Airport. But I have my laptop and PSP with me so I should be good there!

For the next 4 days: SCREW YOU SNOW AND COLD I'M LEAVING!!!
