I feel like I should actually do something with this thing. Here goes.

Today I finished purple and white mitten (I swear their Northwestern pride or something) and began the other. I am almost done with that one. When it is gone, I will make about four more pairs of mittens and two hats. Then I'll get back to "real" knitting (versus Red Heart knitting) and make April and Austin's not-so-holiday presents.

Then I will make the Talking Scarf. It will be amazing.

I think that is all.

Oh, wait. TERMINOLOGY!!! I feel like I have to do this.

The ever-feared SSK, the Slip Stitch Knit, or the Slip Slip Knit. This is a form of decreasing. Slip one stitch from the left needle to the right needle. Slip another stitch from the left needle to the right needle. Take the left needle and put it through both stitches on the right needle. Knit the two stitches together as you normally would, except that you're using the opposite needles as usual. When you are done, you should have one stitch on the left needle.

THAT IS ALL!!!! The SSK sucks. Seriously. It is the epitome of knitting evil.

Love, Alexa
