The Yarns, Peat part 3 (aka 5.3)

My apologies, dear readers, for the extra wait this time. When I made the transfer to my (very own!) new computer last week, I had forgotten about all those little programs that make posting updates possible. And so while I had reinstalled Sims2, transferred my game backup, and had all the pictures for this post ... I couldn't edit or upload them! So this update has been delayed while I tracked down all those programs that help me do this. But, we're back! And we're only a week late!





Let's start this off with a little Peat Logic. Sunbathing in the rain! Guaranteed fun without the burn!



And Clementine greets the Garden Club lady in her underwear. For some reason she wasn't impressed and still wouldn't tour the yard to let us join. Lame.



Allison takes a nap, and dreams of camping.



While Ben fishes!



Until...
Grim: YOU! Come with me!
Ben: *is doubtful this is a good idea*



Grim: *has tasty drinks and secret destinations*
Ben: Oh! A trip!! Well... *is tempted*



Chestnut: *bawls eyes out*
Clementine and Peat: *are oblivious*



:( I knew it'd hit her eventually. Her Ben!!





But life in this family always goes on. Little Enchanted grows up, becoming a toddler.

Peat is very excited about potty training the cute toddler.

Ben: HI CLEMENTINE!
Clementine: Ah!!

Enchanted finds the crazy spin toy, and spins around in the wee morning hours. (okay, so I helped her. I love watching them spin on there!)



She gets some bright greeeeeen jamies. Lookie! She matches her carpet! lol



And Peat maxes nature enthusiasm! That leaves just one hobby plaque to go :D



Clementine has more book research to do, so she heads out for a *very* quick trip. She's got to be back in time for the next grandbaby's birth!

At the home ranch ... Allison does some simple warm up exercises.



And then they all dance hula in the kitchen. Well, they *were* all dancing hula.



Allison doesn't look so good guys, she might could need a hand!
Allison: *groans*



Clementine: OH!! My goodness!! The hula has brought about this birth!! *mentally takes notes*



Welcome, baby!



It's another girl, Emerald Yarn, with black hair and blue eyes.



Stunned (but thrilled!) silence follows.



Quiet kitchen family times.
Enchanted: *hangs head* I just don't get it. Why would they need another baby when they have ME?!
(Enjoyed by all, even the littlest ones ... lol)



oops! Peat and I seem to have let the garden go a little ... wild. We managed to salvage *ahem* I mean, harvest, some tomatoes.



Peat keeps potty training. (I think he just doesn't want to change the diapers!)



And even Chestnut joins in the toddler fun.



Or at least, he tries. Enchanted is easily distracted. (Seems only fair, lol)



Chestnut: C'mon, Enchanted!! You try! *sings* Jimmi tamba loooo na!



Enchanted: ooooooo na?
Chestnut: One more time!! *sings enthusiastically*
Enchanted: *giggles*



And all too soon, it's time for the little ones to be in bed.



But the big ones are still up!! Chestnut asked his blind date out again, though I suppose that would make her not a blind date anymore.



They went to the old festival grounds, not much of a crowd tonight.



(Of course, since he was there, he had to bring a few lovely strawberries home to his cousin, right?!)



They tried to sign up for a dance contest.



Nicole: Is this contest going to start soon? I have to pee!!
Chestnut: Hmmmm, you're right, it's looking doubtful.



So let's kiss instead!!



Aww, Chestnut's first love!



Allison and Enchanted share some playtime with the xylophone.



Allison: Can you say BOTTLE? ...
Enchanted: meep?
Chestnut: Yeah, good luck there, Allison.

He stood there watching them with this doubtful look on his face for a long time, lol!



And then I saw this! ALKSFJ!! Two LotP and Chestnut in the middle. HMMMMM!



Chestnut: Hey, congrats on marrying my crazy cousin!
Allison: Uh, thanks.
Chestnut: So ... question! Why did you fall in love with him? His crazy hair? His weird jokes?
Allison: Mmmmm, I think it was that Magical Golden Shovel song that did it.
Chestnut: *takes notes* Hmmmm, magical golden....shovel. Really?!
Allison: His crazy hair helped. *grins*
Chestnut: *is perplexed romance sim*



Meanwhile the crazy haired Peat snuggles his youngest daughter in the kitchen.
Peat: My lovely little Emerald. I can't wait until you're a wee bit bigger and we can play so many fun games!
Emerald: *burps*



Peat: The glowing bottle of NUTRIENTS!!!! *hands bottle over ceremoniously*
Enchanted: Ohh!!! *grabby hands*
He's just a star father today!!



And then they all start overheating, for some unknown reason.



Maybe it's just a really REALLY hot summer?



I'd say they all spent too much time sunbathing, but I know that they didn't.



They're too busy doing this.



Lemonade for everyone!



Meanwhile, Chestnut calls for another blind date.





oh! We've seen her before!



Chestnut: You're such a beautiful girl, you deserve a beautiful flower!
Jess: ... you shouldn't have!



Chestnut: Of course I should, here....for you!
Jess: Thank you. *is flattered*



Conversations in the rain. The stuff dream dates are made of.



or maybe not.



Whammy!! Chestnut grows up rather unceremoniously. And with plaid shorts.



While he goes to change, have this picture of Enchanted!! She likes to pull toys out of her toy chest.



Since his date with Jess was a bit of a bust, he called Nicole.



They had a good time.



And finally got to have that dance contest. They didn't win.



Chestnut met another girl too.



And another. Gotta meet all the girls and plant all those seeds of future love!



Chestnut gets one more portrait done, and leaves it for his cousins to remember him by. He has left to go see the world and meet the ladies!! (Don't worry, he'll be back for birthday parties :D) Have fun Chestnut!



And yes, Peat is still making lemonade.
