Update on Mom
Hey all.
The doctors placed another stent to open up a 90% blockage in one artery. Mom's doing... well, not okay, but heart-wise she's all right, for the time being. There are two other spots with between 30 and 40 percent blockage, but they didn't do anything about those during this procedure.
Unfortunately, she hasn't been getting the small pharmacy of meds that she's supposed to take each day, including the meds for her Nervous Leg Syndrome. The docs told my dad that it took four men to hold her legs still while they were doing the angioplasty - they went in through the thigh.
We're heading up to Red Bluff in the morning, to help Dad with everything. Mom may be home tomorrow, but who knows. =/ The last time they sent her home too soon after surgery, she ended up with permanent lower spine damage, so I'd just as soon they kept her long enough to ensure that she's truly ready to come home. On the other hand - try telling the insurance companies that. =P
