So I took Josie to the vet again yesterday because she wasnt doing well on the superfood the vet gave her, and thinking retrospectively, you actually DON'T feed an animal on diahrrea extra greasy fattening food, because that makes it worse. (curses to stupid doctor person) And so that's what happened. I won't go into details but it got to the point where she was somewhat dehydrated and so I called the vet's office and they said I had to take her in again.

This time fortunately I got to meet the other vet in the office, and she was a much more pleasant experience. She handled the kittie more gently and she was a lot more patient and encouraging. She gave Josie a fluid shot under the skin to keep her hydrated, and she gave us some antibiotics for the next week, as well as a can of special food for indigestion. (Basically, the opposite of the other food.)

So far today, Josie has been doing pretty well. She is eating the food and not pooping it all out, which is a good sign. And this vet only charged me 15 dollars, for the antibiotics. Everything else was complentary. So I guess I could always trust in the karmic evening-out of things.

Ahead is still a long way of vaccinations, boosters, and frequent checkups for Josie, but for now she is stable, though still mellow and inactive. Poor kitten, she should get another kitten friend. :/

I am at work right now suffering from "I have to leave my poor baby kitten all by herself " guilt. So back to work...
