Caroling All Day
Wow-
I am fucking tired- lol. What a LOOOOOOONG day!
In fact, its been a LONG WEEK! The good news is this: I am not as nervous about my solo because Doc heard it and said it was going to be good. I just need to spend time with it tomorrow, and then I also need to spend time (a LOT of time) with the other pieces for my voice lessons.. the ones that I DON'T need to know for juries, but still need to have learned... which I don't.
Oh well - I can get a lot of stuff done tomorrow.
As for right now?
Right now Brian is at Katie's house - which means I have the room to myself for the night, so I am going to fall asleep to music- I think that I will get a MUCH NEEDED good nights sleep. Unless, that is, the phone keeps ringing off the hook as it has been. So - I will unplug it!
But anywho- today was a great day - I went Christmas caroling dressed in Dicken's style costumes with the acapella choir. We went around town and got a free breakfast. Then we went to sing at this place (ice skating park) and we sang there too. They were opening up the rink later on for other people around town to go ice-skating. You see, the whole town had the Dicken's theme today.. so it was supposed to be 'Skating with the Cratchets'. But there weren't enough of their people there, so instead they invited us!!!! We ice-skated for free all afternoon and sang a little bit on the ice! It was WONDERFUL! I felt so happy, even when I fell and banged up my knee, even THEN it was fun!
I love skating so much. I suck at it, but I love it - my first crush ever on someone famous wasn't on an actress- Nope. It was on Tara Lipinski, professional figure stater. I think its a beautiful art form.. I wish I could skate like that.
But as with all good things, it came to an end, and now I am here, trying to sort out the work I must do. I am very very very tired, so soon I shall be going to bed to get ready for the final stretch. Not too much longer now until Christmas. One week of craziness with rehearsals, concerts, tests, performances, juries, lessons.... One more week and then its all finished and I can hibernate for the vacation...
Or record new music. Either or- lol.
Ok - bed time.
