Chapter 2
Tatsuya stopped running to catch his breath. He didn't know when he had started running; he had been walking slowly and it started to rain and he dashed home. But he had taken a wrong turn somewhere and he was nowhere near the mansion now.
He took cover under a building with a row of shops. He sighed and waited for the rain to stop.

Ryo reached home at 6 pm. He hesitantly opened the door and sighed as no one greeted him inside. He went into the house and searched for his husband everywhere but he wasn't at home.
He must still be mad at me, thought Ryo, ... Not that I care. I'm straight!
He shook his head back to reality and went to take a shower.

Tatsuya weakly pushed the door and collapsed at the front door of his mansion.
Ryo had just gotten out of the shower and heard something. Thinking his husband was back, he went to greet Tatsuya at the front door but was shocked to find him lying unconscious on the floor. Tatsuya was shaking and his fever was raging.
"Tatsuya! Tatsuya wake up!" Ryo shouted, slapping Tatsuya's cheeks.
"C-cold.." Tatsuya stuttered as Ryo laid him on his lap.
Ryo carried his husband and placed him in the backseat of his black Audi. It had stopped raining when he reached home but sometime during his shower it had been raining heavily and it was unforgiving, not relenting.
Ryo drove in the hard rain, trying to make out the traffic and the nearest route to the hospital. Tatsuya was shaking behind him and Ryo tried to comfort him with soothing words.
"It's okay Tatsuya, we're reaching the hospital soon.. Hang in there.." he said quietly.
As soon as they reached the emergency section of the hospital, Ryo dashed out of the car and shouted for a doctor to attend to his husband that was waiting in his car. 1 doctor and 3 nurses laid Tatsuya onto a stretcher and wheeled him into the emergency room, leaving Ryo alone outside.
Ryo sat on the bench outside the emergency room and covered his face with his hands. He was feeling remorseful for hurting Tatsuya. Lisa was his old classmate back in college... She was accustomed to greeting people with a kiss on the cheek. He didn't realise Tatsuya was there, watching the whole thing and misunderstood...
Ryo shook himself. Why did he have to care, anyway? He didn't have any feelings for his husband. It was an arranged marriage - hell, he didn't even know he was to be married with a man! All he did was to sign the papers.
But... It was his fault Tatsuya got caught in the rain, thus causing him to get a high fever...
Ryo felt responsible and decided that as a husband, he would try his very best just like any other relationship, and take good care of Tatsuya's feelings. He vowed to be faithful to his husband. He prayed to his ancestors for Tatsuya to regain consciousness. He wanted to be a good husband.
Ryo was weeping when the doctor came to tell him that Ueda Tatsuya had regained consciousness.
