Disclaimer: The characters belong to Squaresoft, not me.
Notes: I think I did pretty well at keeping them both IC; I think #25; Mask was the most OOC Seifer got. And some of these were a bitch for me to write. D: #33; World had to have been the hardest and had to have turned out the worst. Tell me what you think. :D Oh, run-on sentences have never looked so runny-onny. Oh, oh, the semi-colon is my newest friend. ; is love. <3
#01; Ring - Zell looked dubious, causing Seifer to smile; It’s not an engagement ring, Chicken Wuss, just a promise that I’m always going to be around.
#02; Hero - Though Squall had proven to be the world’s hero and saved the world from a crazy sorceress bitch, Zell didn’t really buy into the whole deal because maybe being a hero wasn’t always about saving someone else; maybe sometimes it was about saving yourself, much like Seifer had done.
#03; Memory - He had learned the hard way that the sandcastles he had built at the orphanage were not going to last forever, simply because Seifer enjoyed kicking sand around and watching Zell cry.
#04; Box - There was a shoebox high on the shelf in Seifer’s closet that Zell decided to pull down one day; in it were ticket stubs, past report cards, secret admirer notes from fangirls, a journal, and a sketchbook.
#05; Run - SeeD had taught Seifer much about battles, such as running from a battle if you ever felt unsure about it, but for some reason, Seifer just couldn’t figure out why he couldn’t run away from the battle that was Zell Dincht.
#06; Hurricane - After wrecking havoc on their dorm, Zell still hadn’t found his underwear and to wear a pair of Seifer’s for the day; Seifer, of course, would never tell he had hid Zell’s underwear just so he could watch a nude Zell cause a whirlwind of random stuff to fly around and smile at the thought of a chicken wuss walking funny all day because he had a pair of too big boxers on.
#07; Wings - Nothing could explain this feeling of freedom Zell gave Seifer- the rush of passion and excitement shared between them could only be compared to flying high above the trees where no one could reach them to disturb their bliss.
#08; Cold - There was a look in Seifer’s eyes that told everyone to back off and leave him the hell alone; Zell either chose to ignore that look or was just too oblivious to notice.
#09; Red - The crosses on Seifer’s coat symbolized something; whether it was his passion, his need for strength, or even his need for love, Zell wasn’t sure.
#10; Drink - Zell, Seifer had learned, was much like alcohol: right when you think you’ve got it figured out and you think you can take more than you should, it turns and kicks your ass, leaving you with an awful headache.
#11; Midnight - It was a full moon, and they say full moons make people do crazy things, but he never would have expected himself to call Zell at exactly midnight just to tell him happy birthday and that he loved him.
#12; Temptation - There was something about Seifer Zell had always told himself not to fall for, and even after their first night together, Zell couldn’t figure out what it was; even if it always got him into trouble in some way, shape, or form.
#13; View - One day, I’ll take you up to Monterosa Plateau; the view is breathtaking- it was a promise Seifer had kept, yet this time, he couldn’t figure out if it was the view that was breathtaking or the way the sunlight fell on Zell and made him look as if he were an angel.
#14; Music - The beating of his heart in his head made it hard for him to concentrate on breathing, even if the kiss was hindering his breathing as well, Zell didn’t want the steady beat to end until his and Seifer’s lips were finished dancing.
#15; Silk - Zell’s touch was delicate, though his skin was battled-scarred and his hands were rough with calluses, Seifer wouldn’t trade it for all the expensive fabrics in the world.
#16; Cover - It was one of those days when they just wanted to stay in bed all day and do nothing but explore each other and share lazy kisses - Commander Squall would most certainly find this unacceptable, and so they called Selphie and explained their dilemma, and after fangirling for a bit, she told Squall that Seifer and Zell had both caught the flu, and they weren’t sure who had given it to whom, so it would be best if they stayed in their dorm to rest.
#17; Promise - Despite his better judgment, Zell gave in to Seifer’s sometimes too-rough kisses and overly-curious hands, but when Seifer promised to never go farther than what Zell wanted, it was almost as if that made anything and everything now okay to do.
#18; Dream - There were nights during which Seifer couldn’t sleep because he had horrible nightmares of his past, of Ultimecia, and it was then that Zell would hold him and stay up with him until Seifer drifted off into a more peaceful slumber and dreamt of he and Zell picnicking on the beach.
#19; Candle - "So the sex shop owner in Deling told me that candles really set a romantic-type mood; if you don’t like ‘em, he says I can bring ‘em back; but I kinda like ‘em ‘cause they smell really nice, and they make me feel at ease and very peaceful; do you think we should keep ‘em? If not, that’s okay; no biggie" - It was here that Seifer gave Zell his most gentle kiss to stop his ramblings.
#20; Talent - I don’t care what you say, Zell; the whole balancing-the-spoon-on-your-nose thing is not going to get you very far in life.
#21; Silence - Zell was somewhat of a chatterbox, and the only way to really shut him up was to give him a kiss that left him wanting so much more, he had to drag Seifer back to their dorm so as to not fuck him in front of the lower classmen.
#22; Journey - There is no roadmap for the whole “life” thing, and when he got lost along the way through, Seifer decided that sometimes it’s best to watch Chicken Wuss and follow his lead; because he always seemed to know the right way.
#23; Fire - There was a burning passion within Zell to always be the best he could for no one but himself; Seifer noticed this and admired Zell for it.
#24; Strength - Very rarely does Seifer Almasy admit his defeat, but even after it was all said and done, he was okay with having a weakness for Zell, even if he was also his strength.
#25; Mask - Seifer was frustrated with being someone he wasn’t; for he wanted so badly to admit to someone he kinda liked sparkly things and that maybe there was more to life than SeeD and fighting.
#26; Ice - Seifer trailed the ice cube over Zell’s neck and shoulder before tracing it back down his chest and licking the path of wetness and replacing the intense chill with incredible warmth that made Zell moan and Seifer shiver.
#27; Fall - Seifer just had to admit to himself that Zell had won this mini-battle between them; he had to admit that he was happy snuggling with Zell, and he was happy waking up to a semi-burnt smell as Zell explained that he had forgotten to flip the pancakes - Seifer Almasy had fallen, and, no, he didn’t want to get up.
#28; Forgotten - It was almost as if the whole thing had never happened, and Seifer liked that he could sleep peacefully at night, without a crazy sorceress tainting his mind.
#29; Dance - It was something Seifer swore he’d never do, especially not while being watched, but instead of listening to Seifer’s protests, Zell ignored them and continued to instruct Seifer on how to dance the right way.
#30; Body - Every inch of skin was exposed: every curve, every scar, and every freckle; all visible for the other to see, and Zell hesitantly brushed a finger along a scar on Seifer’s chest - Tell me each scar’s story.
#31; Sacred - He held every touch to be blessed; there was no one else he wanted to touch him except Seifer, and there was no one else he’d rather touch except Zell.
#32; Farewells - In all that had happened, the two blondes had learned that goodbyes are never forever unless you want them to be; and Seifer had to remind Zell of this when Zell was sent on a longer-than-desired SeeD mission.
#33; World - Not for all the gil or pretty boys in the world would Seifer trade Zell’s place in his arms.
#34; Formal - Seifer had finally made SeeD, and Zell found that Seifer looked somewhat awkward in his uniform at the ball; that was, of course, before he laughed a genuinely pleasant laugh, and he seemed to simply settle into the suit as if he were made for it.
#35; Fever - It was scorching hot out there in the Galdbadia Desert, but no matter how many times Zell asked Seifer to remove his shirt because it would him to “cool off,” Seifer continuously refused, saying, “Me without my shirt will make you so much hotter than you already are, you’ll probably pass out.”
#36; Laugh - Zell was the kind of person who could find humor in anything, and when Seifer was the one laughing, it usually meant trouble; but when they both laughed, it meant double trouble.
#37; Lies - Seifer’s past was bitter, and it was something he’d rather not share with anyone, and sometimes that meant saying things he knew weren’t true just to protect that blissful innocence in Zell’s eyes.
#38; Forever - Someone had once told Seifer that there are never any forevers when it came to relationships and love, yet when he watched Zell sleep, he couldn’t imagine not wanting to spend the rest of forever softly wiping the drool from Zell’s mouth each morning.
#39; Overwhelmed - There were so many words that needed to be said, but neither attempted to begin and simply fell into a melting kiss that made even Seifer the Arrogant weak in the knees.
#40; Whisper - Just for fun, they would pass each other in the hall and pretend to be totally oblivious of the other; though they were both aware of the brush of air against Zell’s skin and the faint whisper of cologne teasing Seifer’s senses.
#41; Wait - Seifer began to worry that maybe a Phoenix Down wasn’t going to work this time, and there was a brief moment of panic as he waited anxiously before Zell’s eyes opened oh-so slowly and he pulled himself up.
#42; Talk - Like any other couple, Seifer and Zell had their arguments and bickerings, but there were times when Zell would say, “We need to talk,” and Seifer knew it was going to be a long talk with hot sex afterward.
#43; Search - It was never easy finding Seifer’s compassion, but for Zell, it was; only because he knew ho to lay on the cuteness and get what he wanted - not that it was easy to come by, mind you; he had spent much energy looking and looking some more until he discovered the secret to Seifer that had been locked up and hidden from everyone else.
#44; Hope - Flowers and feathers were Squall’s and Rinoa’s things, but chocobos and sandcastles were Seifer’s and Zell’s; if they could tame a chocobo and build a sandcastle together without killing each other, then there was a chance that maybe, just maybe, they were meant for each other.
#45; Eclipse - You couldn’t have cute and cuddly Seifer if you didn’t have angry!Seifer every once in awhile; just like you couldn’t have serious and focused Zell if you didn’t have loud-mouthed!Zell every once in awhile.
#46; Gravity - Zell was what held Seifer down and kept him stable, and sometimes, Seifer figured it worked vice versa as well.
#47; Highway - If there was something to never take seriously about Seifer Almasy, it was his sense of direction; but it wasn’t until after the road trip had begun and they were well on their way down the road did Zell realize this when Seifer merged onto the highway that would take them south instead of their desired direction of north.
#48; Unknown - It didn’t matter to Zell if he didn’t know where each of Seifer’s scars came from; sometimes, though, he just wanted to know which ones he had caused because he liked to kiss them, almost as if he were apologizing - but Seifer couldn’t remember which scars came from where and sometimes made up little fibs just to get extra kisses.
#49; Lock - Some days, there was nothing Seifer would rather do than sit around the dorm with Zell and hide from reality, locked in the safety of his Chicken Wuss’s arms.
#50; Breathe - Sometimes, Zell was afraid to exhale too quickly, for fear that if he did, his living fantasy of Seifer would blow away and disappear forever.
