Last Saturday was a fun night ever LOL
Went to a friend's flat and watched horror movies together was a total blast ^^
Today I took one day leave to have some rest after my little bro's big day yesterday.. *stretching*
Now I want to review the Japanese horror movie which I watched together with my friends ^^
The title in romaji is read [Senritsu Kaiki File 01_Kowasugi!] more or less means Bizarre Horror File 01_Fearful!
And in this file, the story tells about a famous urban legend in Japan, Kuchisake no Onna or Slitmouthed Woman.
The famous quote from this woman is [Watashi, kirei?] or Am I beautiful?
She asks this question to mostly children in their way home after school while opening her mask, which is hiding her slitted mouth. The legend that I know, when she asks that question, if the children answer with either [Yes] or [No], she will kill them in an instant. But if the answer is [So-so], she will escort the children home and kill them as soon as they arrive home... So the result of all answers is still...death *shivers*
This urban legend was once brought up in media around year 1992 and became a news buzz in Japan. Whether there was a Slitmouthed Woman they didn't know but it had made all the children frightened and became a social problem.
Anyway the movie was made in documentary with a director and his assistant who were trying to prove a report that there was a weird woman who haunted a neighbourhood and her appearance looked exactly like the Slitmouthed Woman. And based on a video taped by two men who lived there, the long messy haired woman who wore a coat and mask was chasing them in unbelivable speed.
To cut short, the director and his assistant finally knew her real identity named Taki Mitsuko and that she was betrayed by her lover. In the end of the movie, seems like it will be continued in File 02? I'm hoping for that tho, since the ending is cut short with a scene where the director, his assistant and the man who survived left a flat and the camera caught a shadow of the Slitmouthed Woman stood in the closet with appearance like in the picture above ^^
Well, it's a fun movie to watch and I had to become a "shield" for my friend who was scared to watch it LOL
But seriously, watching a horror movie together with your friends is so much fun.
We shout together and give comments non stop LOL
Out of 5 stars, I give this movie 3.5 stars.
