Pairing: Leon/D
Themes: All
Rating: G - NC17
01. Passion
Bringing out his bad temper isn't easy, but I've made a fine art of getting under his skin; he, on the other hand, gets under mine easily as breathing.
02. Trouble
If I didn't know better, I'd swear he was doing all this just to mess with me.
03. Red
He slaps me harder than I would have thought he could, hard enough to cut my cheek -- which I realize when he catches a single bead of blood on the back of one nail and flicks his tongue out to taste it.
04. Give
The way he gets all rapturous over the box of candy makes me think of several completely depraved things to do with chocolate fondue.
05. Sick
There's a little voice in the back of my head telling me that my interest for him crossed the line of professional pride ages ago, but it shuts up after a few drinks.
06. Lost
Someone needs to start a support group for people obsessed with him -- I can't possibly be the only one.
07. Nostalgia
Sometimes I think about life before I met him; more than anything else, it just makes me wonder what I'd do if he ever left.
08. *Clothes
I drop in to question him about my latest case after a too-formal party, and find myself almost embarrassed when he glances me over and asks, "Do you always dress so nicely when questioning suspects, detective?"
09. Bound
Yesterday, I spent my entire lunch break trying to decide if he was strong enough to break ordinary rope.
10. Fall
He trips and lands on me, one hand on my chest and the other on the sofa just above my shoulder, and when he pulls back his nails "accidentally" run down my bare arm -- like anyone as graceful as him could do that accidentally.
11. Fluff
Jill won't believe that I forgot it was Valentine's day and now she keeps asking me if I'm going to visit my "boyfriend".
12. Anxiety
I don't remember when I started visiting his shop for tea and conversation rather than tea and getting him to tell me what the latest thing he's sold is.
13. Hungry
I want to see him so damn much that even the Chinese takeout sitting in my fridge makes me think of him; there's no way in hell I'm going to eat it now.
14. Feel
Somehow, I just know that his skin would be like silk under my hands and he would taste like the sweetest sin made flesh.
15. Curse
After he politely asks me to stop swearing, I cuss a blue streak and storm out, knowing that next time I see him I won't even manage a single "damn it".
16. Urgent
When I recognize the pet shop's address on the radio, I rush over there, even though they say it's only a burglary and no one's been injured.
17. Silence
I tell him he's lying just so I can watch him get a bit huffy and say, "If you don't believe what I'm saying, detective, then I see no reason to talk to you."
18. Poison
Before I can pick up my cell phone and call 911, he grabs the wrist his stupid snake bit and says calmly, "Don't worry, detective, I can suck out the venom before it spreads too far into your system," and then his mouth latches onto my skin.
19. Heat
We're like fire and ice, except after a while the ice melts and the fire fizzles out, which leaves us both as something like lukewarm bath water -- Oh god, I am not picturing him naked, I am notpicturing him naked....
20. Secrets
I have too many days when I spend my free time praying that his knowing smile doesn't mean he can read minds.
21. Discovery
My apartment seems more empty than usual, and I realize that I haven't had a date over in a pretty long time -- since I met him.
22. Desire
There's only one face that floats through my mind now, and only one letter that falls from my lips when I know there's no one listening.
23. Wet
I walk out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around my waist, dripping water everywhere, and he's sitting on my favorite chair, drinking tea as if it's perfectly normal for him to show up out of the blue.
24. Alcohol
There's a pile of empty bottles on the floor beside my bed, but I could care less right now; not with my cock in my hand and my brain imagining that it was his lips wrapped around it.
25. Fantasy
I get angry at him -- again -- and so I grab him, shake him a little, and then slam my mouth down over his damned smirk before he can say anything to reassert his superiority.
26. Dizzy
Sometimes he gets too close, when he's telling me something, and I can feel the heat from his body and the brush of air against my neck as he speaks makes the room spin around me.
27. Cold
I hate it when I screw up with him -- I can handle anything he does to me except for harsh, icy, "I think you should leave now, detective."
28. Need
He's magnetic or something, I swear, because the more time I spend around him, the harder it is to keep my hands off of him.
29. Dream
His smile pressing against my neck, just below my ear; his nails leaving shallow, stinging lines down my back; his eyes looking into mine with an openness I've never seen there in reality.
30. Night
After the sun goes down -- and I've had a couple of beers -- I really can't keep my mind off of what I'd like do to him if he showed up here.
31. Now
I wake up in the middle of the night and the first thought that crosses my mind is, "I bet he'd be awake if I went over there."
32. Mistake
Trying to shake sense into him when he's in a bad mood is obviously not a good idea, unless I really like trying to explain away a black eye.
33. Music
I change the radio station when a song comes on that reminds me of him, but it doesn't help -- everything reminds me of him.
34. Storm
I see him walking back to his shop with a flower-print umbrella keeping him dry, and I wonder how he would look if I stole it from him and let him get soaked.
35. Sweet
The look on his face when he tastes the chocolate-cherry mousse makes my mouth go suddenly dry, and I wonder if this would be a good time to mention that I made it myself.
36. Angst
Even if I managed to put into words what I feel for him -- what I want from him -- why the hell would he want me?
37. Soul
I haven't been to church since I was a kid, and don't have much to do with God unless there's a "damn it" attached; I wonder if God's up there laughing at the nice little mess he is making out of my head.
38. Luck
I don't know how, I don't know why -- and I'm not going to question it -- I catch him half-asleep and get to hear him say in a sleep-fogged voice, "What are you doing here, Leon?"
39. Beautiful
He doesn't really look like a woman -- he surpasses every single one I've ever met; his skin is perfect; his figure, slender; his lips have that "I've got a secret" smile that draws people in; his eyes have so much depth to them it almost scares me.
40. Break
He starts with his "There's a legend in..." speech and I feel the delicate china cup crack in my hands -- then I look up at his face and wonder if his skin would hold up any better, under my rough hands.
41. Breathless
The first time I saw him, I felt my breath catch in my throat and I remember thinking, "God, what a beautiful woman."
42. Tired
So I tell him that it's been a long day, I'm tired, just tell me what I need to know, and he gives me that little smirk of his and says, "Come in, detective, you're just in time for tea...."
43. Hurt
Today I'm daydreaming about him unleashing all the anger he's ever felt toward me, in scratches and bite marks and kisses that are as painful as they are good.
44. Misunderstanding
This will be the ultimate test of whether there is a deity on my side or not: did he realize that I wasn't joking when I said I was staring at him because he was beautiful?
45. Skin
The top button of his outfit -- which I have to remember not to call a dress -- is undone, and I find myself resisting the urge to trace that tiny triangle of bare skin with my lips.
46. Love
It's just an obsession, this constant need to uncover all his secrets and get inside that pretty head of his -- only an obsession, nothing else.
47. War
Every time we get into a fight, a line from a play I read in school pops into my head, something about "a merry war betwixt them...."
48. Communication
Even as I'm cursing the alcohol for dragging me to his shop and making me try to tell him how I feel, I'm blessing it for making me almost completely unintelligible.
49. Wild
Sometimes one of the animals in his shop will come up to him, and I swear he's listening to them talk; it's not that far-fetched, with the primal look I see in his eyes sometimes.
50. Favorite
He managed to make my heart clench in my chest with that smile and seven words: "Why, if it isn't my favorite detective...."
