I love the homey feeling in the fic. Also, this sentence:
Taki would kill him if he knew Goh thought of Taki as his wife.
absolutely killed me. Because, yes. Taki would. And Goh so would thought so, still.
I also like the idea of Taki still telling Goh that he can wait and slipping from Goh's grip, but still cursing when the timer goes off. That's somehow so him.
I love the details of life together, the photos, the sofa, everything.
Oh, this story is lovely! The quiet, slice-of-life quality to it is so nice, and I love how the two have developed over the course of ten years-- quite believable for them.
Oh, that was really quite lovely. I really liked the peek into the future for these two.
His smile widened as he passed the picture of him and Taki on top of the TV. They had been younger when the picture was taken, but no less happy. They'd been in the park for the cherry blossom festival and had finally managed to sneak away from Kanji and the others for a moment. Kanji had caught them under one of the cherry trees and taken the picture without them realizing he was there. There wasn't much to the picture, just Goh with his hand on Taki's cheek, but it was one of the best presents Kanji had ever given them.
That was my favorite part. I'd love to see an artist draw the picture of Taki and Goh under the sakura. And I laughed at the thought that I was so proud of Kanji for being quiet long enough to snap the picture! All in all, a wonderful ficlet. I can't wait to find out who you are!
