Youkai Ningem Bem - Rants and Blahblahs
What's up people? It's been a while since I last updated this journal. No, definitely not because of school stuffs since I'm in a 3-week semestral break. Erm...let's just say that I don't have anything much to share and my life is far from interesting to warrant regular updates. Oh before I forgot I just want to congratulate the whole Youkai Ningen Bem's cast and crew for a job well done, if you haven't heard it yet, the first episode got an outstanding viewership rating of 18.9%. When I first heard the news, I was so ecstatic, the first thing that entered my mind was, "In your face haters!!!!111!!", like seriously. I am so fed up with people saying that Kame is a ratings killer , don't blame the guy if he happens to get shitty roles in shitty dramas, like it's his entire fault that some of his dramas suck (sorry Kame, but I can't get past 10 minutes of Sapuri and One Pound Gospel).
Well, back to YNB, the second episode was aired last night and I can now say that I'm love with the drama, I love Bem, I love Bero, I love Bera, I love everything about it.
First, the background music. It gives me the chills, it's depressing and kind of creepy at the same time. It fits the dark atmosphere of the drama.
Kame's Bem is gorgeous, not just in physical terms but on how he portrayed the role. Bem is such a melancholic and tragic character, he's sensitive and kind-hearted, he's more on expressions than words so playing him would require convincing facial expressions and emotions which I think Kame pulled off effortlessly.
Anne did a great job too, her Bera is snappy borderline bitchy but not annoying. I love her fierceness, she balances out Bem's soft-heartedness.
Suzuki Fuku is so squishy, I wanna ruffle his hair and pinch his cheeks for being so adorable ♥ I love him to bits, and his Bero is so...asklsshsgsls cute. He sure is a promising child actor.
I remembered the first time I heard about this drama, I was so skeptical, the plot sounded stupid to me but I'm glad I gave it a try because it definitely exceeded my expectations. I'm so happy for Kame, he deserves more projects like this wherein he can showcase his talent as an actor:')I'm excited to see the ratings for Episode 2, I hope it retains or better yet, becomes higher because this drama is worth it ♥
Oh and BIRTH, first listen it was okay then after looping it countless times yesterday, it grew on me and now I'm hooked. I'm excited to see the PV, I heard it involves rooftops and skyscrapers 8D Give us PV previews already!
