A letter bearing news from USC is expected sometime in the upcoming week. Keeping fingers crossed…
UOP is very tech savvy! All students get a laptop for which the cost is covered in tuition. They showed us this crazy laptop….you can swivel the cover around and lay it flat and use it as a tablet to take notes, draw chemical structures and what not! It comes with a pda-like pen for you to write on the laptop. Aside from that, there’s wireless connection everywhere, a 2 year old health science building and library, new dorms only for pharm students, a newly renovated lab, a lecture hall with individual cushy swivel chairs, and very high tech audio visual equipment. All neat frilly things aside, my heart still calls me to LA…We shall see. Finding a school that provides a great education is one thing. The other thing is to be able to continue to grow as a person in my journey toward God…and LA fits in well with a great church community I can join. (and switch places with Ken! hehe.)
Sometimes I think if I had graduated on time (4 years instead of 4 ½), had decided to pursue pharmacy earlier, had applied my last year of college, I would be beginning my last year at Pharmacy School this fall instead of beginning (hopefully) my first year! I know I shouldn’t dwell on this too much though. There is a time and place for everything. I should instead focus on what I’m currently doing and do the best I can as a student, a worker, etc, as I continue to pursue and discern God’s will for my life. That’s the best I can do to honor Him who is my Creator and loving Father.
I visited Jery the other day, and left with knitting needles, wool, and a knitting book…so I’m all set to begin knitting after the PTCB!! Thx!
Side note: Something about updating using M Word makes me very conscious about using correct capitalization!!
