I just got back from MD Anderson. The PET scan shows no activity whatsoever and the CT scan shows the tumour is markedly decreased and will continue to decrease in my 2 remaining weeks of radiation therapy. I'll have a followup appointment a month after radiation ends where they will do another PET and CT scan, then assuming those scans are all clear, I'll continue to have a CT scan every 3 months for a year and then have one yearly for 3 years. My doc says there's only a 10% chance this could come back, but if it does, it usually comes back in the first year, and if not in the first year than in the first three years, and if not in the first three years it's almost impossible for it to come back later.
*sighs* So, officially, as of October 29 (once my radiation therapy is done), I will be done with this rubbish.
So this here be celebration post. Dance, sing, etc etc. Just be celebrating!
