Is it just me, or is nothing I do on my own time important unless my mother told me to do it?
Mom: "You didn't go to the gym yesterday."
Me: "Neither did you."
"I was working."
"So was I."
"But you were home until 5PM. You had plenty of time."
"If I had gone to the gym, you'd be mad at me for not cleaning the bathroom."
"Well, you had time to do both."
"And nothing else."
"Oh, and what else was so important yesterday that you were spending all your time doing?"
