Peter Abraham rules:

* This will be in my story tomorrow: As the celebration slowed, reliever Kyle Farnsworth took note of the fact that the Red Sox would occupy the same sodden room tomorrow. "The best thing is Boston has to come in here next," he said. "It's the smell of victory they've got to smell. You can print that ( Read more... )

It's a shame for the Yankees that there's maybe 5 seconds and a small line of print for this title, and multiple above the fold stories about Giambi/A-Rod, along with 6-7 "Is A-Rod clutch?" "Will bad chemistry ruin the Yankees?" PTI spin-off segments for every hour of Sportscenter.

And yes, I do sincerely mean that. It is a shame.

It's been so absurd for so long that most of us tune it out.

I did, however, catch the "WOAH A-ROD 0-3 TONIGHT!!! OH LOLZ JETER ONCE WENT 0-32, EH??" dig on Sportscenter. I rolled my eyes but I will cut them some slack. It's a sad day in the house of NESPN.

NESPN, YESPN, whatever the hell you want to call it...if you haven't realized the network is insanely obsessed with both teams, you're lost.

They have a hard on for bashing and praising both teams.... that much I've realized.

Oh, and congrats on Ortiz making history for you guys :)

I love PeteAbe so much.

And oh, Farns. I kind of love him for that comment. Farns for teh win, yo.

Melky and Robbie were THE CUTEST THINGS. Those boys were going bananas.

As the party was wearing down, Derek Jeter took command of the room. Told everybody to get ready to get on the bus to the airport. "Now we keep rolling," he said. "Let's go."

Right on, Cap'n.

YAY CLINCH. :D

Farnsworth seems like the kind of guy that would say that. Dude hunts turkeys.

And yeah, the Melky/Robbie pic was the cutest thing ever. Is this what wearing a pink hat feels like?

Melky Cabrera, Robinson Cano and Jose Veras celebrated like madmen. Hopping around, singing songs in Spanish, dousing everybody.

I love and adore Melky and Robbie. I so very much do. :)

They also started up the chants when somebody started chugging alcohol. Usually, this was Giambi. :)

* One of the bullpen catchers, Mike Borzello, hugged Mike Myers and said, "Welcome to the dark side. You're not with the Sox any more."
