This weekend was so awesome for me. It was one of the better ones I had in a while.
It's very long, so I'll put it in a cut.
This weekend was so awesome for me. It was one of the better ones I had in a while.
So..where do I start? Ok, well I'll start on Friday. I had an AWESOME day of school. I dont even know why..but it was just so good. Things with everybody were good...no fights, no pot, no nothing. I was truely happy being at school. After school, I came home, and got my stuff together, and then my Mom drove me to the train in Stanford CT. The train came, on time, at 4:18. And so I got on it, waved bye bye and relaxed.
Yes, I relaxed. The train ride was 3 hours and 45 minutes. And you have no idea how peaceful it was. As each minute passed, I became happier. Knowing that I was going to be away from Irvington, and my problems, just made me super happy. It was so peaceful being on that train with so many people you dont know. Each individual person has their own story, but you will never know it. All you share with them, is a few hours on a train, and that's it. Will you ever see them again? Who knows? But its so intense...I dont know, but I just love it. It saddens me to see people leave on the train though. I get this weird attachment to strangers...and then I get sad seeing them get off. Well, anyway..on the train I listened to my i-pod...and read some of Catcher In the Rye (MY FAVORITE BOOK EVER)...and had some dinner. Yummy. So, I got to Boston right on time. Ashley, her boyfriend Mike, and her friend Tony were there at the station waiting for me. Just getting off the train and breathing in Boston air was calming. Even though it was FREEZING, I still felt all warm and happy.
So that was Friday night...I went back to Ashley's dorm, had some more dinner (My third dinner that night) and then just hung around. We went over to Mike's dorm, and hung out with some people. lol. We ended up going to sleep at 1...long long day, but fun fun!
The next morning, Ashley and her roomate, Michelle, went out around 9:30 cause they had things to do. I got woken up by them, but still managed to doze. Once they left, I got into Ashley's bed, and slept until 12. Whoops! I was supposed to be up and walk down Commonwealth Ave. to meet Mike at 11:30 so we could get tickets for a basketball game. I called him once I woke up, and told him I overslept and that I'd get ready ASAP and go to meet him. So I got all ready, and then walked over to meet him. We got BU Basketball tickets, and then went over to meet Ash for lunch. She had a CPR class, so I was going to hang with Mike until that was done. So after yummy Mexican food, Mike & I went to the basketball game. BU won both games (double header). It was so much fun..even though I dont like basketball, I still enjoyed myself. I love the chants..."*Inserts players name and says it 3x* YOU SUCK!" Buahaha.
Around 5, I met up with Ash again...and her and I went over to Newbury Ave. and went shopping. Newbury is soo nice. It was so beautiful, what a nice place to shop! It was cold, but I had my little earmuffs on, a hat, and a warm jacket. So, Ash and I were shopping, and we decided to go look at prom dresses...dude there was a sale! We couldnt resist! And NO tax in Massachusettes! Sweet deal. :) Sooo I bought a prom dress...hehe Im such a dork, but holy shit I look so hot. *Cocky moment* Yes, I, Courtney Mandel, bought a dress and I look sexy! Ok, so its a lot in advance, but its not like Im going to grow. Im in love with it. hehehe. So after that, we went to Joe's. My FAVORITE restaurant in Boston. I didnt even have to look at the menu because I knew I was going to get the half rack of ribs. Yummy in my tummy. Randomlly, when I'm home, I'll have cravings for ribs. It was very satisfying. After dinner, we walked back on Newbury street and met up with Mike & some of his friends. I called Nick, and we talked...we talked all the way to like, the other side of Boston..ok so it wasnt to the otherside of Boston, but it was like a half hour walk. It was freezing too, but I didnt seem to notice cause I was occupied. We walked passed Fenway, stopped at an art store, and then went over to Coldstone where Tony works. It was fun. We went back to the dorm, and I worked on my essay, went online for a bit, and then got into bed at 11:30.
So then, this morning I woke up at 11. I had to get my stuff packed up..and I wanted to go take some pictures..so Ash and I walked over to near the river, and then turns out my film was finished, so I didnt get to take any pictures. *crieS* Oh well, I may be going back to Boston in a week or two, so I'll make sure to have more time to get pictures. So after that, Ash & I took the T to South Station, and I got on my train at 1. hehehe. It was a nice ride...shorter than the first, only 3 1/2 hours. But it was nice. I ate some left over dinner, and just listened to my i-pod. There were odd people on this train...there was this guy who had dreds...he kept looking at me. And then this husband..he kept giving me side-looks...ermm..okay? So I got home around 5. And that was my weekend.
I just finished my essay, and now I gotta do some art homework. Hopefully CSI is on (I havent checked yet) and then I need to unpack and get ready for school and Valentine's Day tomorrow. Yay.
This was extremely long..oh well, what can ya do?
