There's nothing more universal than a good game o' poker. [He takes a seat. He settles a hand over his knee and lets his fingers drum.]

He leaves Nill with Heine (no Darklings this time; little bastards have been acting up) and takes the Darkness Express over to the hospital. No sense in popping out of the shadows right in front of old new friends.
P.S., he has the booze.]
Gentlemen.

BJ stuffed his precious packet of letters in his pillowcase before making his way over to a comfortable corner in the Doctor's Offices near the others.
He'd stay quiet for now--aside from a nod--with a smile on his face and his hands in his pockets.]

In walked the freckled pirate, sporting piratey scruff and everything. He raises a hand for a slight wave.}
Yo!
{A tip of the hat to you gentleman and a bow of his head before tossing the deck of cards to the table. A glance about at everyone, new faces all around aside from one. Just a nod for you Jackie. He took up a seat, spun it around and straddled it, folding his arms over the back of the chair, which was now facing the table.}
Names Ace, it's nice to meet you all.

Ladies and germs, I call it eight o' clock and the conference is now in session. We'll be proceeding with the agenda shortly, but first... a very important question.
[Quick pause and he glances around the room. One completely new face, another that's supposedly not new at all and then the two that are as familiar as the back of his hand. Not a bad crowd for the first night.
He smiles, a proper Chesire grin and then he continues. Business first and then they can get on with the game.]
What are we betting tonight?

[Henry leans forward, arms folded over his chest. He looks to the deck of cards on the table. He looks to the hooch.]
Shots?

We've already got Hawkeye, Henry, Ace, him--[gestures to Jackie]--and little old me. Our personalities are intoxicating enough.
Maybe we could use something a little more... substantial. [He gives a casual shrug with the added twist of a habitual brush of his mustache.]

Not sure about you guys, but all I have is clothes off my back. I'd suggest a rousing game of Strip Poker, but well... we just met and we're not even drunk yet.
{A Gol grin for you folks, looks even more so with the small mustache he had. He was joking. Seriously. Even if he didn't care one way or the other.}
Shots are fine by me. {He'd just, pick up that deck of cards, pull them out and start to shuffle idly. He did some fancy tricks with'em too.}

[Charles was right, money really did make everything more interesting but they didn't exactly have that luxury over here. Sure, they could play with pebbles or bottle caps like they did under Frank's horrifying reign but that was never the same.
Something else then...]
How about something we all got? Something of real value? Something that only a Royal Flush could take away from us? Of course I'm talking about our dignity.
[Brief pause and you could practically hear the cogs turn in his head. This could be that something, not to mention a good way to do some bonding in this sorry excuse for a garbage dump.]
The loser has to perform an embarrassing and most of all childish task of the winners choice or share a deep dark secret with the rest of the class. What do you say?
Reply
Dare or deep dark secret, huh? Sounds like a disaster waiting to happen, Hawk.
[Pause. Smirk.]
I'm in.
[And as an afterthought;]
Drinks, anyone? Name's Jackie. I'll be your bartender for the evening.
Reply
Hey, why not? [He laughs, heartedly.] I'll throw my hat into the ring.
[In true iconic style, he lifts his hat from his head and chucks it onto the table between them.
He turns to Jackie, hand raised.] Toss me my first for the night.
