Capitalism
Ernie loves to give people backrubs. (I know, I don't deserve it! But I love it.) For her birthday last March, we gave her a "spa set" with a couple of rollers and a loofah and a book of home recipes for spa treatments.
Last week she made a sign for her bedroom:
ErNie'S BACKRUB CeNTeR
and another sign above it that says OPeN on one side and CLOSeD on the other. (She's not big on the correct use of uppercase and lowercase.) She sets it to OPeN when she's ready for customers, and her loyal customer (moi) shows up. The rest of the time it says CLOSeD.
Two days later, Bert put a sign on his door (written in cursive, because he doesn't like to print so he taught himself cursive (eye roll)):
