Mass Effect Big Bang Notes: This is for Azzy's little gem of a story about how relationships may change over time when seen in the light of new situations and expectations. It surprised with how much it influenced me while reading, how every turn, every heartache, every decision by the characters made me feel.
It conflicted me, confused me, made me smile and frown and most importantly inspired me with it's pictures. I can't thank her enough for letting me play in her sandbox. So anyway, go
check it out right now! Small spoilers in the artwork under the cut!
This story has been my return to fanart after a pause that lasted a bit over 3 years, it was my re entry into illustration, my starting point for several new ideas and styles I wanted to try and I am sad in a way, that the project is already over.
Full Cover
Kaidan was completely at a loss for words when he finally stood at Shepard’s bed.
“Kind of reassuring to have a sunset with only one sun, huh?” James said, staring pensively off into the horizon. “When I was a kid, I thought that going out to new frontiers to kill monsters would be the shit.” He smiled to himself, opening his beer. “Funny how I realise that there is nothing better than home.”
This night, however, Kaidan would be waiting for him. James felt slightly guilty when he saw the coffee that Kaidan made had gone cold.
James wanted to be calm, but he couldn’t, not just a little bit. Stumbling as he ran in the sand, he was panting hard as he made it to where Kaidan sat. Leaning forward, hands on his knees, he tried to catch his breath. “Beer,” he managed to say.
So that's it! I hope you enjoyed it.
