A Jew in Moscow Subway System

Dec 07, 2012 17:29

I was traveling on a Moscow subway train today around 1:45pm. People in Moscow subways are for the most part extremely quiet, so when between Belorusskaya and Novoslobodskaya stations (sorry, my non-Russian speaking readers russian words are long) I heard loud and assertive youthful voices coming from inside the car I immediately knew something was up. Then I saw them - three twenty-something slavic looking beefy males one about 6'3"-6'4" (190-192 cm tall) the other two about 6' each. To my surprise they were staring at me. Then the largest male said Look at that one in glasses - must be a kike. Since when are these filthy jews (they said пархатые жиды in russian) are allowed to use the trains? We shall find out soon with this one.
Then I realized that even though the car was packed with people they were inching toward me. Then the train stopped and I got out as did they. I took off - they didn't run after me although they tried following me at first to the escalator.

The story by itself is sort of sad. What were my options if they had enough time to reach me while still inside the car? By myself I could probably handle one unarmed male (I can't imagine a competent fighter acting like that on a train and I'm comfortable against an incompetent one more or less regardless of its size) but certainly not three. I'm being told that these sort of people tend to have traumatic pistols and then I would have no chances even against one.

Oh, and the people in the car - they were silently sympathetic - as they turned to look at the dirty jewy me I could read cowardly compassion in their eyes.

So it goes
