but has arashi ever backdance for smap?? i only remb watching ohno in some of gold singer's live but that was it haha

Yea, only Ohno have been SMAP's backdancer and that was in 1997, according to Ohno.

Somehow, I think Nakai Masahiro probably is the best choice to become Johnny successor. He has talent, he has experience, he has respect from the industry, he is very smart and he has heart. From that interview, I have a feeling that Michi and Julie don't care that much about the competition, the only problem here is Mary. Maybe if Nakai can get Matchy to convince Mary, she would give in.

Anyway, I think Nakai views Kisumai more as a project instead of as his kohais. I'm not actually a fan of Kisumai but I'm interested to see how they will evolve into after a few more years. They are the products of SMAP's experiences and perspective after 20+ years in J-Ent industry. When I see Busaiku and Kitayama now, I feel like I'm watching Nakai's apprentices and I love how they transform under his guidance.
