ShoMaki in Abunai Yakai (Jan 8)
Wa... wa... waaa.... Maki guest in Sho's show that will air on January 8th, to promote her drama!
I'm just a medium-level shipper of them, but I have to say they look very good together, in this shot.
I like that Maki smiles happily a lot in the preview. Maki is quite the type who gets easily read when she's in a bad mood, so sometimes she might not look like a fun person. But she looks so adorable and lovely this time cause she smiles so cheerfully.
Nan darou... they look so good together here. Maybe because the way they dress really suit their characters. Sho's image is the intellectual, elite, sophisticated, smart kinda guy and the suit he's wearing suits that image. While Maki is the sweet, lovely, elegant type of lady and her white dress here also suit that image. Maki's elegant beauty image really suit Sho's intellect image, imho. Thus they look good together.
Fans opinions are divided into two:
"So Maki is allowed to appear in Sho's show! The rumors must be false then!"
"Nope, nope... this is just the Jimusho's strategy to make people THINK the rumor is false!"
Haha... I cannot disagree with both opinions. Both seems possible, to me.
From my experience as a SMAP fan,
The first time Goro and Miho's dating rumor out was in June 2000. Yet, they were still allowed to appear together in various shows. The FNS 27 Hours show around July 2000, they were both on the same screen and Miho was sitting next to SMAP, however Goro sat on the furthest seat from Miho, lol. And then, Goro and Miho were also still acting together in 200x show until the year 2001, although they didn't have much scenes together. Since then, though, Miho's chances in appearing in SMAP shows were getting less and less bit by bit, until she almost never appear anymore in SMAP shows and more proofs were seen and heard that they were really dating.
After Nakai and Koda Kumi's dating rumor out in the open, Koda was also still appearing in Nakai's shows occassionally, and they talk in the shows too. But almost a year later, the pictures they went to onsen together was out.
It seems to me, that even after the rumors out (which are true), some couples are still allowed to appear in a show together. There might be two reasons:
1. Their appearances together were already scheduled from before the rumors out, so they can't cancel things.
2. It is really Jimusho's strategy to hide the truth, but sooner or later they usually can't hide it anymore. Thus, the lady can't appear in the guys' shows anymore, after awhile.
We'll see how ShoMaki interacts with each other on the show ^^
I just rewatched VIP Room with Inoue Mao as the guest again, it was 2009. Mao seems quite nervous there, like she didn't know how to behave or act. Maybe things was already going on that time, maybe it was the time that Jun already confessed his feelings to Mao already, but Mao hadn't given any clear answer yet, lol.
