O-PARTS
Just watched this SP drama since I always have interest in futuristic plot. The story is not bad.
Starring Maruyama Ryuhei (Kanjani8), Kutsuna Shiori, Ito Ayumi, Sometani Shota, Kawashima Jun'ya.
Tokyo was attacked by a terrorist group who can kill people with what is suspected as a supernatural power. The government gathered 5 ordinary people and they were told that they have the ability to detect where the terrorists are. The terrorist always give announcement to the government when and where will they kill their next target. So the police brought the 5 people go to the planned assasination location. Apparently it is true, that they can "feel" the terrorists existence.
*SPOILER*
It is later revealed that the terrorist group came from the future, year 2156. The future government has invented technology to send messages to the past. A rebellion group called NEX invented even higher technology, they can send people to the past. Trying to eliminate the future government, NEX is trying to do the easier way, that is to kill the important government figures' ascendants in the past. NEX sent 5 of their members to the past and the 5 people is called O-Parts.
While in the present time, the government formed "O-Parts Investigators" consisted of those 5 ordinary people, to help them abort O-Parts' attempt in killing their targets. Later, the government revealed to them, that they are actually the ascendants of O-Parts members, that's why they can sense their existence.
One of the O-Parts Investigator member, Miyamae Yuki (Kutsuna Shiori) is actually an O-Parts member, Tau. O-Parts wanted to know the present government's purpose in gathering those 5 people, so they sent Tau to disguise as Miyamae Yuki, whom they killed before.
However, Tau (Kutsuna) is not a descendant, she's actually Kakizawa(Maruyama)'s clone. She was treated as a lab rat by the government until she's 20 in the future, so she hated the government, escaped and joined NEX, the rebel group.
I'd say, the story was quite a good idea. The microwave theory too. Too bad, it lacks plot development due to the limited duration. Kinda reminds me of GANTZ a bit, probably because of Ito Ayumi^^

The director, Nishikawa Miwa, is an award-winning director who won award for her last work, "Dear Doctor" starring Shoufukutei Tsurube.
This movie sounds as promising as Kokuhaku. Really can't wait to see it, esp. to see Rena and Matsu's scene together^^ I love Suzuki Sawa too!
Expecting a promo in SMAPxSMAP!^o^
No-Hime
I always had interest in No-Hime, Oda Nobunaga's official wife, since I read in Wiki: At their wedding, Nobunaga described her as having "the mind of a genius and the appearance of a goddess."
As I predicted, the span of story is exactly the same as Kimura Takuya's "Oda Nobunaga" (1998), started on the engagement, ended on the assasination of Oda Nobuyuki. However, "Oda Nobunaga" focused completely on the Oda clan's successor matter, while half of "No-hime" focused on Saito Dosan(Nohime's father)'s downfall, and how Nobunaga tried to save his father-in-law (which is surprisingly true to history).
Mizuki Arisa as No-hime was OK. My most favorite No-hime's portrayal is still Nakatani Miki in "Oda Nobunaga".
Shirota Yu's appearance is SO NOT believable as Oda Nobunaga. If anything, he should just play the role of Napoleon Bonaparte, desho??? XD But acting-wise, I quite like his portrayal as young Nobunaga, although he kinda lack the acting ability for jidaigeki dramas, indeed (perhaps bcoz this is his first time), I love his heavy and thick voice as Nobunaga.
The actor who plays Saito Dosan is as great as Nishida Toshiyuki in "Oda Nobunaga".
Kimiko Yo as Toda-gozen (Nobunaga's mother) is AWESOME casting! Better than the one in "Oda Nobunaga" ^^
Nobuyuki, Nobunaga's younger brother, I prefer Tsutsui Michitaka in "Oda Nobunaga" ^^
There were a few romantic and touching scenes between Nobunaga and Nohime (good script!), but Shirota and Arisa just look weird together. Nohime is suppose to be about the same age as Nobunaga, and yet Arisa is 9 years older than Shirota and looks her age, indeed XD It's like looking at a romantic scene between a young boy and his aunt XD
How the writer dramatized Saito Dosan's downfall plot was pretty good too, I enjoyed it. It was quite touching.
All in all, as a jidaigeki fan, I quite enjoyed this drama SP, to my surprise. The rating is 14.2%, proves that the Japanese audience enjoyed it pretty well too.
Anyway, I'm very happy Arisa is pretty active at 35 years of age. She will have a drama series, starting April, ANSWER.
Love her look here. It's TV Asahi, so I'm expecting her to promote it in SmaSTATION^^
She will also host a talk show, "CATHARINE", which will replace Gout Temps Nouveau which is ending this month. Together with Kyary Pamyu Pamyu and Matayoshi Naoki of the comedian duo, PEACE.
It's a FujiTV show, so I'm expecting her to promote it in OjaMAP XD Yoroshiku ne, FujiTV and TV Asahi!
