Okay, Bakabakabakaetcetera-Dude? I'm going for the Japanese course. I wouldn't wanna pass up on such value for money. Less than thee hundred clams! And within a stone's throw for where I am willing enough to travel up to.
Right, Kinokuniya time. I have completed my Tom Clancy books -- or at least, those books that I do want to read -- and then I had a change of fiction genres. I actually bought "The Name of the Rose" by Umberto Eco. (Which reminds me : where is my "Gormenghast" Omnibus?) "Sideways" is beginning to be one of my favourites. I wonder who be dubbed the skipper if I were to go on a wine trip?
To top off the nerdiness, I got Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's "Requiem" at HMV. In the glorious performance of 1962's recording, and Lacrimosa is always pure magic. Hurrah.
The local news caught my attention with something about family trees. So a cousin of mine has completed ours -- and I still have the blueprint. However, I have two huge blanks : (1) I have nothing on my maternal Grandmother's side. (2) My paternal Grandfather's Father went missing in Malaysia.
Strange happenings indeed.
