囧
囧。音jiǒng，同“炯炯有神”中的“炯”。是“冏”的古体字。意：光明、明亮。
囧. Sound jiǒng, the same as 炯 in 炯炯有神 (an idiom mainly used for describing fiery eyes). It is the archaic word for 冏. Meaning: light, bright.
It's mostly a dead word now. And I'm here talking about it because, see, it's like a face, with two droopy eyes and a gaping mouth. It's a part of Chinese net language. Some people use this word as an expression for "things that make people gape/bug-eyed/wordless/awkward/gloomy/Aaahhhh".
For example:
"I want to feed this stray cat milk but it showed me its ass, 囧"
"I bought mooncakes but some dumb ass used cucumber for stuffing, 囧"
"there is a huge insect on the window screen and it's giving me the evil eye, 囧" (although in my case this is scream-worthy)
Or more extreme, "I went to the zoo today and a camel spat on my blouse, 囧"....
