Thank all of you for reading and commenting! And dark_amia, she is very much like the kitten in your LJ icon, only is black -- yes, according to beezari, it seems it's a she. Hmmm, then she's a little tomboy, quite brave and adventurous and with attitude! Might grow up to a leggy girl, who knows ( Read more... )

Chinese food is good. :) just make sure what u get is natural :) (we have news here about artificial eggs and chemically produced paint on meat in china. Sounded kinda scary). But I ate everything in Beijing, including beijing version of stinky tofu. No probs. :)

Ham .. uhh. ... cats like cam and they like sosages, just stuff shouldn't be very spicy or sweet. :) but every cat may prefer its own thing... I saw one who really loved cucumbers :) Good luck! :)

teach her how to use washroom properly and go outside. our cat knew how to deal with the door to go out. would be too late when it grows up! :)

Oh, c'mon -- don't scare liukaiqin! Street food is good for you. At least, I had no problem with it for 5 years, until a couple of weeks at the start of June this year when I got violently sick and ended up losing about 10 or 15 pounds. (For reference, I weighed about 120 pounds to begin with. I am petite.) Still, it hasn't deterred me from buying my daily 剪饼 on the street, or eating shady hotpot at 簋街 on a regular basis. I just make sure that I've got serious antibiotics at home, just in case.

Good luck getting tickets over the holiday! I'll be getting back to Beijing on the evening of 10/1, and won't really have the time or money to go anywhere, so I'll probably just spend my time biking around Beijing.
