Seeking Netbook recommendations
I'm looking semi-passively at Netbooks, and I'd love to hear any actual experience people have with them. I have an eeepc 701, and I'm happy with the concept and so-so on the execution -- the actual keyboard turns out to be too small for the uses I want for it. I also found that it drained the battery too quickly in `sleep' and started off-to-app a little too slowly to boot it fresh every time, although my needs have shifted a bit towards allowing longer startup times. The screen was ok, but I could get behind a slightly larger display than the 701 happily.
The small storage capacity of the non-HDD is fine with me. I'm 95% likely to prefer Linux on it -- there is one windows app that would be nice to have, but while I could do that under Parallels on my current macbook, I find that I rarely actually do, and I've been missing linux off and on for at least a year. I don't really care about the webcam or 3G networking, but 802.11n would be good and seems available.
